I tried using it, but it wouldn't display any media like pictures, videos, profile pictures, etc and I couldn't make any posts. It was horrifying, like having no vocal chords when you need to scream, I had to snort catnip to calm myself down from the anxiety. It said that the site's certificate had expired or something.

This belongs in the Technical Grievances, which I believe was mentioned, but in any case, you don't need to access through the Onion link, but keep using Tor.
