Wanna replace the ball bearing system? There's only over 100 different standards for it with varying sizes, good luck. Why are there so many? Because fuck you. Now that you got that figured out you just need some special tools to fix it. What are they called? They have no official names. Why? Because fuck you.

You wanna replace the gears? That's easy, just have to find another tool with no name. And there's quite a lot of them. Oh wait, you got the wrong one. You need the other one that looks identical but the fittings are spaced just slightly differently. Why not just make it standardized if they're nearly the same thing? Because fuck you.

Need to replace the pedals? That's easy, just use a wrench. Oh wait its too big, now you need a special (((bike wrench)) which is a glorified thin wrench. Why not just make the spacing bigger? Because fuck you.

Contact customer service to get the tool fitting names? Great idea. Oh wait, they don't know shit either. Why? Because fuck you.

But could always take it to a bike shop to have them replace $10 worth of parts for the cost of $200. What a deal.

:gunt: I'm losing my mind:gunt:

The bicycle repair jew is strong

Also doesnt suprise me the customer service people wouldnt know, they dont repair bikes, they answer phones.

You need to go undercover and seduce one of these mechanics so you can learn his secrets

I got a combo tool set from REI and a couple of gages from Park Tool. Works with both my Kona and Specialized. Maybe you just lack mechanical aptitude? There are a few different standards, sure, but it's really not that hard to figure out. Just look at the specs on the company's website...

Edit: just went to the REI site, and... fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkk

stop replacing inventory with fat black people shit, they don't fucking go outside fuckkkk

Buddy, some of us here just ain't mechanics. If you can't get it going with duct tape, a nut rounder, and a hammer, you ain't cut for it.

Remember the trade motto, "It's only temporary, unless it works."
