I got a cold over a week ago that went away, but since then my sinuses have been clogged to the point that Im deaf in my right ear. I have no sick days and Im between insurance plans. Is it time yet for me to blow out my brains and feel the rush of fresh air on the inside of my skull, or would I be too clogged for that?

I used to have this happen all the time, it's not congestion - it's inflammation.
For decades I would have to get a scrip for prednisone and antibiotics to clear it up.

Two years ago my doctor put me on Xyzal for my allergies. I haven't had a problem since. Xyzal is a 3rd gen antihistamine with anti-inflammatory properties, which is important because Claritin, Benadryl and all the previous antihistamines didn't do shit.

You likely have allergies. Talk to your doc.

It sounds like you are experiencing sinusitis, along with serous otitis media, and eustachian tube dysfunction.

Use the behind-the-counter decongestant\antihistamine (the stuff that is OTC is garbage and never works) to get it under control, along with OTC Afrin (Oxymetazoline) to open up your nose.

Once those are working, you'll want to perform the valsalva maneuver which will open your eustachian tube and let your ear drain. Close your mouth, pinch your nose shut and press the air out like you are blowing up a balloon. This should force air through your eustachian tube.

If this works for you but you see no improvement with your hearing in 2-3 days you likely have acute otitis media and will require antibiotics to clear the infection. I wouldn't let it go any longer than that. After 2 weeks acute otitis media is unlikely to clear on its own and you could end up with damage to your hearing if you just let it fester.

Tell me, human. Does your mucous look like vanilla pudding and do you have a smell of rotting garbage and burnt hair settled in your nose? It's probably a sinus infection.

If you are between insurances, you could use one of those Minute Clinic places inside a Walgreens or CVS. Prices are reasonable and that looks like something they would be able to treat there.

luke warm water + salt, bend over, pour it in one nostril and let it drain from the other, repeat from the other end, and as the final measure inhale some water and spit it out

do rapid force exhales to clear any water residual

Invest in one of those $50 refurbished Navage battery nose douches the company sells on eBay that comes with twenty saline pods, and use them whenever you feel like it. Then, when you finally get low on pods, make your own bulk nasal saline with salt, baking soda, xylitol, and baby shampoo so you don’t waste money on Navage pods. It doesn’t prevent sinus issues - But it helps in dealing with them.

Took all this into consideration, tried some more aggressive allergy meds, those didnt do jack shit. The things that are REALLY working are pressurized saline flushes and AGGRESSIVE valsalva maneuvers. Gonna combine them this evening and try to get Violet to come out of my nose, since every other color in the rainbow has already come out.
Including cyan.I have no clue how I got my body to make Blue.
Also, if any of you ever get both eustachian tubes clogged, listen to Tyler the Creators Cherry Bomb. Sinus dysfuncion makes that album click together, definitly the best part of all this.
