Why does Kiwifarms hate anime?

I understand the dislike of furries but I'm curious why so many on the farms hate anime in particular

Self projection. Just as an overrepresentation of this site's demographic consists of furries and spergs as well. This is a space where every (no)body who got bullied as teens get to assert their stresses and control in compensation en masse, revenge of the nerds-style.

I have grown old and weary and anime is not what it used to be when I was young and sprightly, and that angers me

I think a lot of anime is terrible but there are definitely quite a few that I find enjoyable and worth watching. What probably makes a difference is whether the show panders to an already existing audience as a pure wish fulfilment fantasy or if it stands on its own and has something new to say.

That all being said, anything bad you say about anime is twice as bad in the west when it comes to pandering, at least in this decade.

its not about troons depicted in anime, its about troons in the anime fanbase

also plenty of people here hate and look down on mainstream entertainment media just as much as anime

I don't think people realize, but anime got invaded by low grade normies eons ago who eventually evolved into the modern day coomers and troons.

Weeb on weeb violence has been fairly common
