Why does Canada play these egg propaganda commercials?

On my TV the past couple years, I've seen these commercials trying to convince people having eggs for meals other than breakfast are completely normal. Is this really something worth spending money on? Is being judged for eating eggs that much a problem? Here's an example for reference:

I saw a commercial recently about how eggs were great for you, it was strange to say the least, because who needs to be told about eggs? In unrelated news, eggs saw more than a 100% increase in price recently, almost 200% at this point where I am, so that's unpleasant.

Why would they do something weird like this instead of encouraging people to use eggs for baking. They could have sold it as a cheaper way to make cakes or whatever (which is something that would actually appeal to people, given rising food costs and inflation).
I can never be arsed to bake, also I suck at it. Frying an egg is a couple of minutes work and tasty. Know your audience.

Because many people wouldn't even bother to think outside of conventional lines of thought unless it was suggested to them. Eggs are good at breakfast, they're used for cooking, and they can also be eaten at any meal. The suggestion promotes higher egg consumption and thus makes the egg farmers of Canada more money.

Are eggs unpopular in Canada? I get that the commercial is sponsored by some kind of egg farmers, but for them to want to push eggs the implication is that they don't already sell well. Is Canada some weird country where the world's most perfect food is disliked?

Eggs are a low-cost source of protein. My guess it'd be to steer Canadians away from meat which is becoming more and more expensive.
