It isn't really that hard to get. If you are against eating animals I doubt you want to see millions of them be killed for meat.

I won't ever be vegan but if they could make the lab grown stuff taste good and not give you cancer and/or aids I would be against eating meat to. As it is...well I'm gonna get my burger one way or the other.

I do feel bad for the animals and get kinda grossed out by the idea of eating them sometimes. But I just had a burger and I was starving and holy shit it was beautiful.
I have literally slaughtered animals I ate. What it does though is teach you respect for what you are eating and why. It is never an easy thing to take a life, but uh, God didn't give us another good way to get B12 and iron, so there that is. One day, I will be food for something else. Circle of life, etc.

I never have but it's one of those things I'd like to do at least once for the experience.

It is hard even when you know you have to if it is livestock. The first chickens I killed were out of humanitarian reasons. They were suffering and there was nothing I could do for them. I still ate them though because it was the least I could do.

Yeah, as long as they're safe to eat there's no point in letting them go to waste. I guess it's hard because you see the animal every day.

While the biggest animals I've ever killed where house mice I've at least watched every animal I regularly eat slaughtered to understand the reality of it. The least you can do for these animals is respecting there sacrifice by acknowledging what actually happens to them instead of trying to turn a blind eye just so you can be more comfortable.

Yep. I will still eat meat, but I know what it means to slaughter and there is no beauty in it. Nothing wants to die, plants included, but unfortunately, this is just the reality we live in. That's why I am like whatever. I will be recycled myself soon enough.

I can understand the vegans when it comes to the aspect of animal welfare. The industrial meat complex is a huge fucking horrorshow and alot of it is akin to torture. They are fed a shitload of hormones, antibiotics and other stuff that is in no way safe for human consumption.

If you wanna eat meat, you should take a look around where you can source it ethically, preferrably from somewhere, were you know the animals are kept properly and aren't fed with toxic shit. Thats the reason why I have taken up hunting and if i currently dont have any in the freezer, i go buy from a butcher where i can trace its origin and how its being kept

Brother, I am the same way. If I can kill it or grow it myself, that is exactly what I want to do/have done. Then I have a lot of control, for better or worse, the care and outcome of things and know exactly what I am feeding my family.

Vegans come in two flavors. You have those that love animals. And those that hate humans.

But imagine looking down on people that deprive themselves to lessen harm against cuddly creatures.

There are way less preachy vegans than there are meat eaters constantly bitching about vegans and vegetarians.

The number of vegans and vegetarians is very small, especially in the US, the number of vegans and vegetarians who will go out of their way to criticize you for eating meat is even smaller, most just mind their own business. But somehow meat eaters like to imagine themselves being scolded while they eat a steak and then owning that person epic style with facts and logic (muh canine teeth). It's a very strange persecution complex.
