Why do people hate Kiddy Kong so much?

I've seen a lot of DKC fans whine about Kiddy Kong and I really don't understand why. He's pretty fun to play and he's not annoying as shit like Baby Mario. Is it really just because he's a baby? Or is it just a big joke to hate on him and I'm too autistic to get it?

My guess is because it's a game sequel where you don't get to play as any of the original cast of the game. He's the easy scapegoat to throw that frustration onto. Or worst case scenario there's some behind the scenes furry fandom tumblr shipping bullshit going on that I don't want to know about.

Kiddy Kong reminds me of that one older kid with Downs Syndrome who used to be in my 3rd-grade class, and was creepy and weird as shit. Pretty sure he molested one of the girls in my class

I think it's just a question of...why? Like why would the game designers think people would want to play as a baby gorilla? There are tons of other interesting characters they could have picked and for some reason they picked a baby. Rather it's not even that he's an actual baby, cause he's bigger than Dixie, but just some freaky adult gorilla acting like one.

He's actually not an adult gorilla, he just has gigantism or some shit. Later on in DK64 we meet his relative, Chunky Kong who's one HELL of a guy.
