You know how on the internet you can be very mean to people and you dont feel that bothered because at the end of the day you can go back and talk to the people you know in real life who are your friends? The Jews had this before the internet. It was just the Jewish world and the non-Jewish world. They could shitpost in real life and it didn't matter because at the end of the day they could "Log off" and return to their insular community no matter how horrible they behaved.
