Seriously the amount of times I've heard 'well back in my old shit third world country that was shitty and horrible we used to do things like (insert some retarded third world shit), but nobody here does that. People here should be more like the shitty third world shit people back in my shit country.'

It drives me fucking crazy everytime I hear that shit. Go back to your shitty third world country if you don't like the way things are here. Just fuck off right back where you came from.

Everyone does this after their first romance. Every subsequent romantic partner is compared to the first romance. It's like trauma. I guess it's the same phenomenon for immigration.

It isnt that they are people from third world shit holes, its that these people create a third world shit hole which is a manifestation of their collective ethnopsyche.
It is unreasonable to assume that they would be comfortable in anything else despite the benefits and they will use what influence they may posses to orient their new host society in the direction of their own.

It annoys me too. However, to play devils advocate, just because something is better doesn't mean you can't complain about things you don't like about it.

People also have a bad habit of forgetting just how bad things used to be. It's why you see people go back and date their ex then break up with them again. Even if you consciously know it was bad sometimes you might catch yourself think "it wasn't really that bad and there are things I liked about it". Unless the bad memory is traumatic you tend to forget bad experiences over time. It's also why old people see kids misbehaving and think "my kids weren't as bad as them". They were, you just forgot.

I'm not sure about that. Knew a guy once from Honduras. He was here legally, had been here for at least 20 years. Owned a house and a legitimate business and had a family and all that. I met him around a year or two after his youngest daughter was born.

He was telling me about when he brought his son back to Honduras to visit family about 8 or 9 years before that when he was 3 or 4 or something. Talked about ants and snakes and shit like that.

Then I asked him if he'd ever take his daughter down there and he was just straight up nope, Honduras is a terrible place and I'm never going back and I'm not going to bring her there. It wasn't just the increase in gang shit, it was just the terrible way of living. Pretty much every day you're dealing with poisonous death insects and snakes and endless hordes of ants everywhere. Life is pretty shitty there all around even back the last time he was there let alone in the time that had passed.

Dude never once made a comment like that and pretty much seemed pretty much happy as fuck even 20 or so years later that everything was better than the shithole he came from.

Contrast that with the fucking dude who inspired the rant, pretty much the same situation, different shithole country on a different continent with nearly the same level of decline and fuckedness, actually, maybe worse depending on how you look at it, especially in recent years, yet says this shit daily. Literally has family suffering back in his country because of the shit happening there right now, and he says that shit constantly.

Also, dude's white, not any kind of brown.

I'm probably getting a little autistically mad about this, but I have to be around that motherfucker regularly and it's enough to drive you fucking crazy.

Well, to be fair, Honduras took a turn for the worse after a massive hurricaine directly hit that country and literally moved entire rivers. Look at this bridge, for instance. Used to be above the river before the hurricaine.

Thousands of people died, thousands left homeless and jobless. As a result, the country became one of (if not the) most dangerous countries in the Americas. People became desperate and turned to crime.

And to think, they are still a wealthier country than Haiti.

In the US, Californians and Oregonians are fleeing the states they ruined so they can continue to vote exactly the same throughout the country. That's called metastasis.

So lower your expectations. People are tumbleweeds; and the only use we've found for those is soaking up uranium.

Cops asking you for money is disgusting.

I would roundhouse kick a cop if he asked me for money here.

Same with the hospital asking you to buy your meds at the pharmacy for surgery etc.

I am legit not build for this shit like my ancestors.

I always figured that it was either nostalgia or cope.

When you leave a third world shithole for greener pastures, people tend to only remember the good memories they had there instead of the daily struggles. Or it's just a cope to tell themselves that things weren't really that bad over there.

Also, depending on the country, a lot of people tend to be nationalist and still hold a cucked love for their place of origin even though they left it.
