Why do FTMs "Pass" easier than MTFs?

Probably a retarded question but I've been pondering it for like an hour and want to see what other people think.

There are two troons that I know of in my apartment complex, one MTF and one FTM. They've both put in considerable effort to actually pass (instead of just saying they're the opposite gender and then not presenting as such at all), and while the MTF can still be clocked despite his best efforts, the FTM actually reads as a dude until I remember. They're fairly tall already and hit the gym often, so that's probably part of it.

I feel like this phenomenon is common in trans celebrities too. If I passed Chella Man, Chaz Bono, or Laith Ashley in the streets I'd probably just think they were feminine men, but the famous MTFs like Laverne Cox or Dylan Mulvaney still just look like men.

Because men are larger. You can shave down a man & stitch a wig or tits to him but you'll notice all the subtle features that grew to suit the larger sex.

Pro-tip: they don't pass better because the vast majority do not "pass" at all. A failing grade of 43 percent does not pass more than an 18 percent test score.

There are exceptions to every rule, of course. A woman who is 6'1 does not prove that women are as tall as men.

it is easy to take something small and add to it until it appears larger. make her work out to build upper body muscles (steroids help a lot with this) and add thick man clothes tailored to emphasize broad shoulders, this will make her look manly.
it is much more difficult to start with something large and remove from it until it appears smaller. you can't easily get rid of natural broad shoulders unless you want to get into crazy experimental frankenstein bone surgery.

Sexual dimorphism is the reason. The two humans sexes are fundamentally different in shape and size. The smaller will always have an advantage on this front.

A man just looks like a man no matter what you do. The broad shoulders, big hands, face, nothing can hide those things. A woman? Add a layer of fat, some creative clothing choices, and you can get someone who passes as a weird looking man.

They are also less outspoken and less likely to make giant scenes in men's toilets, so you will not really hear of them to look at them more closely.

To add onto what everybody else in this thread has already said, another difference here is voice. Testosterone really deepens a FTM's voice, while MTF troons are just putting on a terrible impression of Barbie or whatever. Testosterone is way more impactful on women than estrogen is on men.

Women are smaller and more neotenous than men. MTFs are basically trying to reverse age to when they were into their early to mid teens. There's even a term for FTMs who look like preteens (that came from 4chan, of course):

Females have an evolutionary detection system for males. It doesn't matter what they wear, the lines are wrong and we see
it at a glance. Dudes don't seem to have precisely the same system. FTM are pitiful. They pose no threat to anybody. There's

I know a FtM and they don't pass at all. Last time I saw them they just looked like a short, slightly fat woman that shaved their head bald. Also the voice is a dead giveaway and because I usually identify people's gender by their voice I fucked up with the pronouns from time to time. Fortunately they are not the psychotic type that take it as a personal insult.

It honestly was a bit shocking to me that they went that far as to shave their hair completely. But I know how to keep a poker face at this point. It only saddens me that instead of getting the mental help that they clearly need to accept who they are, they just decided to change themselves and start taking hormones.

But even if they went to the gym to lose weight and did something like taking some vocalisation classes to have a deeper voice. The hips, shoulders and height are very telling and since you can't do much about that they still would not seem like a man to me. Just a manlier woman.

Summary: FtM don't pass that much better in my experience.

Testosterone permanently deepens your voice. FTMs don't need to do the goofy voice training nonsense that MTFs do.
