ive been binging audiophile content recently and noticed something audiophiles like crinicle defend apple airpods as "good quality" this shocked me as they are bluetooth and known for being poor quality and i figured audiophiles who are so harsh on things like spotify for being low quality would not stick up for shitty bluetooth earbuds

Audiophiles are rubes that will pay $3000 for cables, and Apple attracts the world's biggest consoomers who judge one another based on how old your Macbook is.

So they're naturally two peas in a pod

How many times are you going to make me tell you that "audiophiles" do not exist, and that it's a marketing gimmick to sell dumb niggers shit?
Studio headphones will always sound better, have a better EQ (that shit better be flat you niggers), they are cheaper.

That being said the Airpods Pro 2 have all kinds of neat features.
I really appreciate the in ear controls and the fact I can switch between the noise cancelling features at will.
I would never use them to listen to stuff if I had literally any other means, but I love them as far as a pair of wireless headphones or stuff I wouldn't use a pair of AKGs or Sennheisers.
You know like playing on my phone. What's the point?

using apple's proprietary overpriced trash makes them feel priviledged because its expensive, and unique because most people will look over it without a second though
To get a pair of consumer grade headphones that are appreciably better than airpods, you have to get into silly shit like sending in MOLDS OF YOUR EAR to custom headphone makers. And it's way more expensive.

(Also, remember studio headphones are better no matter what, so what I'm looking for is something different, like custom molded inner ear noise cancelling.)

But if I want quality i just grab some 1/4" studio headphones from the from a swap meet Mexican for $10.

Because the truth is, as much as people hate Apple, Airpods (especially the Pros with ANC) are actually very good for their price. Can you get cheaper wireless earbuds that sound good? Sure, but there's going to be a compromise be it build quality, support, or something else.

They sound good enough, have good features, great support, and great build quality for an okay price.

They seek pleasure in the warm, rich sound of the bass speaker.

Flat EQ doesn't make things sound better, it makes them sound like they sound. That's what studio headphones + monitors are for; letting something sound as bad as it does so you can fix it. Fucking Razor Krakens sound better than my mixing headphones because consumer audio is designed to make the most dogshit music psychoacoustically pleasing. It's two different worlds.

Bluetooth audio is yet another world. The use case isn't sitting in your easy chair in your den in your smoking jacket drinking a manhattan and listening to an album front to back. It's for doing shit. Nobody's going to work with wired over ears, nobody's going running with wired over ears, except pretentious zoomers for some reason.

I can't speak on airpods because Apple is for mammonites and the tech illiterate but Bluetooth is great for what it's for. I like Jabra products, iirc they're a hearing aid company that branched out into earbuds so they know what they're doing.

go to the swap meet
find a pair of like AKGs
offer the mexican or chinese man NO MORE than $20 (but i hate going above 10 because if theyre at the swap meet, no one is using them)

at prices like that it doesnt even matter if a few of them are broken
i got sentry wireless earbuds for 12 dollars at a convenience store, no haggle required

It's apple retards - what do you expect? Pro tip from an ex-audophile - the older you get the less you can tell the difference between fancy headphones. Just buy something in your price range and you will be fine. Stay away from apple, monster, earcandy, beats, all garbage.

I won't touch Apple for anything, but especially not anything audio-related.

I once owned an iPod (the 5th gen classic iPod) and the audio quality was horrible no matter what I plugged it into. Audio, mind you, is the main function of the iPod.

Later I switched the firmware to a 3rd party one called Rockbox and the audio quality went from shit to excellent.

Fuck you, Apple.
