Why do all FTM choose the name Kai? - What are other common trans names you've noticed?

Is there some character they're naming themselves after? I swear it's always Kai or Max or some shit like that

Every FTM tranny I know irl has a name mentioned in this thread. Beautiful. :story:

I'll echo the reasoning being that they don't want to actually be seen as/present as masculine - they want to transition to ~uwu soft bois~, not men. Names like Andrew or David really don't accurately represent what they're going for.

Because they are WOMEN and they choose names that women in their age group find attractive. Usually boy-band-esque names that teenaged girls choose for their tumblr OCs. The name Kai follows this trend because it's a "hot dude" name found in a lot of weeb shit and yaoi catered to girls. Transwomen(usually transbians) do the same shit... they pick the names of pornstars/manic pixie dreamgirls/goddesses.

Basically, their name choices betray their claims to actually be the opposite gender... which is hilariously ironic.
