I always felt The Animals were the best Brit band to come out of that era and they kicked the Beatles ass!
The beach boys (or Brian Wilson,) from Pet Sounds to Smile really deserved the crown of best.
Alas, sappy shitty Beatles reign supreme because society is retarded.
