Because we don't know how to celebrate holidays anymore.

Thanksgiving is proof of that. Before it used to be a big deal like the others, now it's just an after-thought.

This shits been going on for decades. Just now noticing the trend? Better question is why do so many people wait till Christmas Eve or day of to try and get gifts, when they've had a whole year to prep.

I haven't seen any Christmas stuff -

If you are, maybe it's because retailers are scarred from past years' supply chain issues? So they'd rather get their Christmas stuff in during August rather than not get it at all?

If they (the corporate lizard people) could make it Christmas season 365 days a year they would, since it's like a fraction as hard to get people to spend money.

They'll keep putting Christmas items out earlier and earlier every year until the people finally have enough and storm santa's workshop to take back the means of production.

Because the DG overlords send out the first Christmas Plannogram in mid August. And, you need to rotate that stock faster, bitch. On a serious note, we had Easter things arriving the first week in February. Some lady complained that I was putting them out, and I told her, "Well, Jesus WAS just born; now we're only waiting for him to die." I got very written up for that. Don't really regret it, though.

I haven't seen it myself but if true, there needs to be some kind of pushback. I'm already sick of Christmas before it's even Thanksgiving some years. Personally, I think we're still a few days too early for the Halloween stuff to come out.

Christmas selling is super limited. Traditionally, you only have until after Thanksgiving to do it, a little under a month. Now you push past that and you can get more Christmas sales early.

It was only midway through August when I started seeing Christmas stuff start trickling into my local Dollar General and I thought I was going crazy. I think Halloween stuff started coming out at the end of July.

All I see are back-to-school sale signs everywhere. Those things used to piss me off so much when I was a kid.
That shit was starting super early as well! I wanna say beginning of or mid-July.

Tbh, I usually get most of my Christmas shopping done during Labor Day weekend when everything's on sale. But I also don't tend to get goofy, specifically Christmas-themed gifts for people.

Idk, I like getting holiday shopping done early, but I also like to think I'm being clever about it instead of being pushed towards it by retailers.

I am seeing stores selling Pan de Muerto and it is not even November. September is the Mexican Independence month and I am yet to see decorations for it. I am also asking myself what is happening
Shouldn't Pan de Muerto be sold slightly BEFORE November, amigo? Unless, you know a very good bakery. I have to order my Easter Bread and butter lambs well in advance. I pick them up the day before Easter. Also, we get paska, up here, from Christmas until Fat Tuesday. Fat Protestants enjoy our food. Allow them to.

I wasn't meaning Christmas themed gifts. Unless I'm retarded and misunderstanding what you're saying(most likely).

Personally, if I get someone a gift, it was got well before the relevant bday or Christmas. I'm not much of a gift person, but if you're buying someone a gift I'd assume you knew them well enough to not be doing last minute shit anyway. I was mostly kvetching about people who literally wait till the last minute. Cause I'm fine with decorations out of season for the most part.

I only really hate shit like V-day etc.
