If I had to guess, a huge part of it is the layout. It looks like shit, it's laid out horribly, it's hard to read, and it's hard to find anything. It takes a certain type of exceptional to bother taking part in something so flawed. As @Agent Abe Caprine said, it's fun to lob a shit balloon into while waiting on something else. Gaben could afford to throw a crumb of his bajillions at making them less shit but oh well.

I'm banned from steam discussions because this tranny wouldn't shut up about how much he loves little girls, including having a picture of himself on his profile surrounded by little anime girls captioning it "I love little girls" and I called him a "pedophile" because only a pedophile would do that, and got banned for "personal attacks" So the only people left are tranny pedophiles because anyone with common sense got banned a while ago. But I also can't name a platform I'm not banned on for things like this which is why kiwifarms is all I have left.
