Very deep and broad question.
Generally their innate and deep belief in Islam has a high chance to lead them down a path of innate, quasi repentative path of extreme violence. Add to that generational poverty and far eastern societal norms, which include brutal autocracy, relentless submission to cult leader sovereigns and a bunch of other weird shit, eventually you propagate a seed of continual terrorist streaks. But generally it is just Islamic tenets that overwhelmingly advocate for violence in religion, which, due to aforementioned primitive social structures, keeps producing lunatic terrorists.
Thing is they were always there since the 7th century, but only now in recent decades as the world becomes more globalized and intermittent with far east populations do we see a rise of domestic Islamic terror. There's even debate if Islamic terrorism is worse in the West than it is back in the far east. From what I can tell, rape gangs, peace trucks, knife and acid attacks are very bad, but still somewhat manageable in the West.
In the far east you still have to this day literal Islamic Warlord Cult leaders roaming the land with literal armies, kidnapping women, raping kids, killing everyone and no government office can do jack shit. And they do all that predominantly to other muslims.
