We know that a fur suit costs up to several hundreds dollars. We also hear about many online artists complaining about how they can only make money by drawing furry porn. So naturally, the question becomes, where does all that money come from? This is kind of like the chicken and the egg situation: which came first the money or the furry obsession. Maybe someone is funding furries. What do you guys think?

Same reason that all the elites are fucking kids. Once you have had your fill of all normal fantasies they become mundane. Same reason rich Saudis pay white women 100K to fly to Dubai and fuck dogs.

Not that furries just happen to be rich. Being rich and degenerate draws you to these kinks, not the other way around.

Honestly, I feel like you're projecting.

Really grasping and trying to make up scenarios to benefit what you're saying. It's not a good look. You're the weirdo, aren't you? What are you hiding? You can tell us.
This.
I bet he’s the weird furry living in moms basement bouncing from job to job and spending all his money on “art.”

I think furries have the same amount of money as other people. The difference is that their contributions to their hobby is easier to quantify. Art Commissions, Dragon Dildos and suits generally have an established and predictable price range. Even an idiot can map those.

Most other hobbies are more complex and require a trained eye to see the contributions to it. For example in woodworking/cnc, just getting quality metal workshop tables setup in a shop can run you over a couple grand. A good ventilation system, which most people never even notice, costs even more. The average layman will ignore these and scoff at you for having a harbor freight hand router, or be impressed by your expensive DeWalt or Milwaukee setup. The thing with furries is that the hobby is entirely visible with no subtiles in expense.

Furries come in two varieties: the NEETbux variety who collects their tugboats, and saves up all their cash for their fetish. If they still reside with parents, its usually a long-suffering mom or grandma who pays the bills, and makes sure to carefully separate their food on their plate, lest the autist sperg out. If they live on their own, its likely in some sort of subsidized apartment for speds. They may also have just enough savvy to do art of their own, which other degens will cough up cash for.

Then there's the barely manages to function around other humans enough to get into STEM, usually IT, variety. Like their NEETbux cousin, they prioritize their shekels towards their fetish. They also may have enough savvy to do their own art, thus pulling in more cash.

Note that in both versions, art style may vary wildly. Usually, its pretty shit, because male coomers are s hit at art in general. If its a rare female autistic coomer, the art may actually approach good.

The funny thing is for the quality niche ones, the art is nearly impossible to reproduce using ML. Many have tried on an artist who died recently, and even after using custom models designed for it and training hypernetworks on sample sizes of over 1k images. Nobody has come close.

It's particularly insane when you realize that SD can make images that are near indistinguishable from Rebecca Guay, and Van Gough(A fucking schitzo).

You want to talk about money? It's fucking insane how much these people make.

I read somewhere (probably here) that they don't have any sense of long-term saving and only appear wealthy because of how much they spend.

If you make $2000/month and effectively spend $1500 of that on your hobby, you only project the illusion of wealth.
