Why are black people protesting?

I keep reading in the news that black college kids are protesting all over the country but I can't for the life of me find out why. I've read something about a shit swastika and a football team, but not an actual reason for the mass protests. News stories always just say it's about racism or something vague like that, but not what set all the whole thing off.

What the fuck is going on? Someone mind shedding some light on the whole situation?

To answer OP's question, Missouri is a shit godforsaken state that brought us the St. Louis Cardinals and @Roger Rabbit . There are people driving around campus waving confederate flags and threatening black students there. There's seriously no way you can defend this sort of behavior.
 
Asking "Why are black people protesting?" is like "Why are birds chirping?" or "Why are rednecks inbreeding?"
It doesn't really matter any more, it just happens, and there's no way to stop it from happening.
 
Because it's easier to protest how the world is fucked up than trying to do something to improve it.

This applies to other types of people besides blacks.

I hear nuttier blacktivists are also stirring shit as well. The whole thing sounds like a massive clusterfuck with people on all sides deliberately trying to cause chaos.
 
It’s a typical SJW plan of attack. Disagreement is harassment, criticism is hate speech to intimidate them into silence, and failure to agree hard enough or accede to any and all demands makes you a tacit racist/rape apologist/soggy knees.

Any incident of racism is because the upper administration isn’t doing enough. It’s Green Lantern politics all over again; the assumption of insufficient political will at the uppermost levels to make reality conform with your desires. It seems to me what they want is a totalitarian state where wrongthink can be legally censored.

The difference is this time, it's happening in ultra-liberal universities, and is being enabled by white college students. U.Missouri's new interim president is black, and apparently a believer. We'll see what happens when this doesn't magically end racism.

Dumbasses make a swastika out of poop on the wall of a college building. Black students cry racism, SJWs crawl out to show how awesomely progressive they are. College admins are accused of not doing enough to stop racism on campus, and therefore they are complacent in allowing shit like this to happen. Campus presidents wet themselves in terror and immediately resign. New black interim president is brought in, ending racism forever and creating a new liberal utopia on campus. SJWs do SJW things, everyone else rolls their eyes.

As I said in the Paris thread, the proper way to handle a shit swastika drawn on a bathroom wall is to call the janitor so they can bring some proper clean supplies and take care of it.

What's a protest gonna do? Is it to shame and humiliate the person responsible? Moherfucker drew a swastika with their own feces, they have no shame and humiliated themselves about about as much as possible already.
