You people start talking Cars and dont ping me?
Hella sad.
Anywho, doing some looking thats a 1994 RX-7, 13B Rotary Swapped, done by some chucklefuck kid, BUT the engine setup was done out of shop and dropped in. I see alot of non-performance mods, like a crackle tune, airbags, and some body mods. Not alot, it borders on tasteful. Im not seeing what he’s doing with the transmission, I can only assume its stock, no complaints, no compliments.
He’s going to be losing some of his supposed 600BHP through that old dog, I PRAY he did something to keep that thing cooler than stock, thicker rad? Higher flow Coolant Pump?
Onto the ‘72 Dodge. This car has also had its innards out, but has its old block. Not too worried about that; classic american tends to be overbuilt, thats why there were so many people putting superchargers everywhere. They kept this one NA, swapped the carb, redid the headers, full distributor delete, electric cutoff, and a Tremec tranny. This car will outturn heads, and absolutly outlive that rice burner.
BUT.
The 5.9 Magnum V8 is rated to sub 300 crank horse.
Even if that Wankel Mazda is operating at 66% advertised, thats still 400 horse, out of a car half the size, independent suspension, fuel injection, computer assistance, whole 9.
That Mazda WILL run circles around that Dodge, but once those apex seals blow, its the Dodge thats towing you home, and it could with that 3.55 rear.
In conclusion, you WILL beat the Dodge in the Mazda if it dosent blow up, BUT when you get to the destination you are NOT pulling bitches. They’ll wait for the boomer-mobile, wood grain and all.
Added bonus, the Dodge will run on anything. 100 Octane, 91, 85, Sunoco race, jet fuel, good tequila, okay tequila with good grain alcohol. Cold AC at all times with its high torque engine meaning no performance compromise to stay comfortable.
In conclusion, you race in the JDM, but you want the Domestic.
