I can't help but feel bad for flat earthers. They are hated by everyone else on all sides, used as the de-facto example of both stupidity and fringe lunacy.

Nearly all of these people that I've seen are disaffected social rejects who have seen some shit. Of course they are receptive when they hear the government is lying to us. And they are, just not about this.

My mom nearly fell for this, I thankfully talked her out of it. But I didn't do it in an insulting or demeaning way. Telling a flat earther they are stupid won't change their mind. Show them respect enough to engage with them. Validate their points and provide answers.
