Georgian, Armenian and Thai are awful writing systems where everything looks the same.

Written Cyrillic can be an absolute nightmare to read.

Cyrillic isn't too bad at all. It's just a slightly clunkier looking alphabet than the one we're using. In the case of Russian, spelling and pronunciation align with complete consistency too, so you can learn how to pronounce any word in a day's work.

EDIT: Or do you mean hand-written? I can see how that might be a nuisance.

If we're talking aesthetics, Chinese might be the nicest looking but you're going to have to remember several thousand characters to be able to read at a good level.

In particular, the Babylonian-origin "square script" illustrated on the right that replaced the good Phoenician alphabet used in Solomon's court, which replaced the Egyptian of Moses'. The last letter of that alphabet is a cross (taw), which was anathema to the antichrists recording the Oral Torah.

Roman writing was good until some moron decided to use it to write English instead of Latin. Then all the sounds changed but they didn't change the spellings so it got fifty times worse. Now it's the ultimate shibboleth. Everyone thinks if you can't spell you're a retard, but it's the writing system that's retarded. It's like Twitter. All it does is attract elitists who aren't even self aware enough to realize their self worth is based on memorizing arbitrary sequences of characters. It's like if I told you you're retarded because you don't know pi to 15 digits like I do.

that's a problem specific to the english language. most other european languages that use the latin alphabet are pretty consistent, words are spoken as written, and letters are pronounced the same as they were in the latin language (with some minor exceptions)

Japanese, a language so shit it takes natives 15 years to be able to have a "decent" level
baka gaijin, we only needed 3 alphabets to satisfy our conflicting desires for the perks of a Latin alphabet and the aesthetic pleasure of Chinese moon runes.
And a 3rd one to contain foreigner loanwords because we're too proud to include them in our actual language but also desperately need them because we can't invent shit and haven't since the fourteenth century.
