Type G or M everything else is shit tier.

Recessed sockets and cords that run perpendicular to the socket are the work of knuckle dragging subhumans.

I don't know which is the best but it is hilarious how much G both looks and feels like the UK government being a combination of total cheapasses AND overly burdensome nanny staters.
The fuse being kept in the plug, specifically, instead of just properly wiring postwar housing is insanity.

That's the UK one. The Aussies' collective response to the type G plug was "mate what are you talking about a copper shortage requiring you to have a single circuit for the whole house, we have Western Australia for copper. We've got copper for days."

I always thought it was a bit strange that the most scalable, monolithic and ordered bug societies have the biggest headfucks when it comes to mains power i.e. east Japan using 50hz mains, west Japan using 60hz and having a fucking awful system where you have to run your own ground wire to appliances... along with the Chinks that just have no fucking idea which plug they want to use.
