Which is more based: gif pfp or static image pfp?

A lot of gif pfps are annoying to look at so I prefer static.
Yours lacks flashing lights, poor looping, isn't fast, and lacks jerky movement so yours is the exception.

Static all the way. While gifs can be fun for the occasional one off event (like the dancing miku pfps) having one as youre every day pfp is just too gaudy and makes it seem like youre desperate for attention.

Static all the way. I'm ok if it's not a short loop or flows well like the ponytail gif above me. But anything quick and flashing can trigger a migraine.

Obviously static images. As a proud static image PFP owner I defend my own kin. If you accuse me of having an animated PFP you are a liar, and above all a schizo.

A gif pfp can be truly great but in doing so your straddling the line. The majority of static images work completly fine, you usually need to intentionally make an awful avatar, but for gifs you really need to find that goldilocks zone between barely perceptible and obnoxious eye sore.
