Where do furries stand politically?

In theory, being a furry should have nothing to do with most political topics, barring basic rights such as being able to cosplay in fursuits without being stoned to death/similar, for example.

Because as far as I'm aware, a furry just means (one of the definitions): "an enthusiast for animal characters with human characteristics, in particular a person who dresses up in costume as such a character or uses one as an avatar online".

Anything extending beyond that goes outside the definition, and would probably require an additional label/term. As for the statistics, I assume the greater portion leans towards the left in regards to politics.
 
From what i observed the furry demographic consist in wast majority of autistic white men working in tech. Among that group 2 ideologies are dominant leftism due to mostly being from/spending most amount of time in cities in which it dominates and libertarianism due to autism. Since being furry is a form of degeneracy they are definetly skewing heavly progressive as such conservative versions of leftism such as stalinism and conservative versions of libertarianism such as hoppeanism will be significantly less popular than their progresive counterpatrs. IE either prog leftism or prog libertarianism.

they skew liberal but theres plenty of centrist and even some right leaning furries
 
Like most other communities comprised primarily of sexual deviants, there IS some amount of political variation between furries, it's not uncommon for you to see a "conservative" (this term is being used as lightly as possible in this type of context) furry every once in a while, just like how you also see "conservative" fags and troons every once in a while. But, of course, as is also typical for sexual deviants, the vast majority of them are left-leaning, with most of them being libshits.
 
I find it odd how furries even care about politics at all.
Like, think about it, do you think any senator, mayor, or whatever the fuck will take the talking points of a guy who talks about the war in Gaza right after some obese hairy Bulgarian guy fisting a Canadian 20 year old's asshole into an Iranian rose? Talking about politics as a human being, yeah, there's some merit to it. Doing it on your fucking persona is cringy regardless or ideology, you're not doing anything remotely positive or impactful.

I don't believe any of them have genuine political opinions whatsoever. Those that say they're left do so as a mating strategy (but then that's what every leftist is) and those "on the right" do it for fetishistic le epic nazi rp reasons. Don't expect fetish people to do anything other than feed their fetish.
 
To be frank, political leanings within fandoms are less about politics, and more about acting as a conduit for one's own behavior and crowd. Furries, weebs et cetera aren't immune to meshing their politics with what they enjoy. Its almost always a bad combination.
