You should probably try Gamma-Butyrolacton based rim cleaner instead of trichloromethane. That stuff is very effective at removing grease and it's much easier to obtain nowadays. Be careful not to use too much though because if you do the shininess of your newly polished rims might take your breath away.

Chlorine - you put it in your pool, should be able to pick it up from a hardware store.
Methane - comes from cows.

Find a cow, feed it three chlorines, then capture the resulting gas. But you better hurry, you don't want Bill Gates getting to the cow before you.

Dichloromethane (a.k.a. methylene chloride) is better. It's sold as Loctite Chisel or SF790. You want the pre-EPA ban shit that doesn't say "MC Free" on it. Be sure to inhale the fumes deeply, as they give you incredible superpowers, like turning your hair golden and allowing you to fly around.
