So, Akira was supposed to have happened in 2019, but that's dead and gone. I know it's just a film, but comparatively, we're still using technology to make dookie butter. When will we have technology comparable to Akira? I say 5 to 600 years.

Bruh, the world of Akira doesn't even have the internet or highly advanced portable computers that they carry in their pockets.
I rather have instant access to 99% of all human knowledge and be able to talk for free to anybody in any place on Earth than have dumb flying bikes and laser rifles.
