I’ve always been racist and fine with it. It is baffling to me that there are people who lose sleep over whether or not something they did was racist.
 
Insofar as I do care if some of my views were made public in this current political climate, I never stopped caring. In terms of someone uttering "racist" to win an argument, silence me, etc on the merits, I do not care. Even in public where I cannot say "yes I am racist," I still assert something like "yeah, that does not work on me."
 
After a life-changing event I could truly see I do not harbor those feelings. Not everything is not that easy when you're seeing the truth about yourself, but that one was nice.
