Through circumstances or ability, you become the leader of a community of survivors in the zombie apocalypse. The zombies are Walking Dead style and the community is 175 people. This community existed before you became its leader. Twenty of the survivors are Muslims and, a little while after you become the leader, they demand they be allowed to do their obnoxiously loud calls to prayer even though everyone knows the zombies are drawn to noise. One third of the community thinks the Muslims should be allowed to do this, one third call it suicide, and the remaining third has no obvious opinion.

How do you handle this situation?

The beliefs of Islam are not real, so I would have no qualms denying their practice of said fake religion. I would tell them if they stay in our group they must remain quiet when doing their "prayer". If they cant abide by this, they can leave.

They could also convert to Christianity and none of this would be an issue.

Does the third of the community that agrees with the Muslims include the Muslims? Also, the Muslims in question should know that their own faith allows for quiet prayer rituals or prayer for some with others taking up armed guard positions in times of war or catastrophe. So their arguments to loudly pray are not valid. Who is speaking as Imam, here? Does he not know his own holy scriptures? We shouldn't be loudly ringing church bells at Matins, either, even if twenty of the survivors are Catholic monks.

ETA- If we're being realistic, once I found a large camp, I would trade supplies and information and move on. Large camps are inherently dangerous. I have been planning my zombie apocalypse survival since I was a wee Pittsburgher who called sammiches "sam sams."

If I end up de facto leader of an existing community, then clearly something is very wrong.

First thing I do is understand the dynamics, organize or reorganize processes, refocus goals and strategize a mid to long term vision.

Then I appoint people who will fit well in the roles the community needs, and I encourage them to build teams.

I make priority first on survival, anything else is retarded. These fucking zombies are slow as fuck and gather around a fence. Let's use it.

Every muslim is on duty to sharpen wood to build lances. Then, they can go and pray 5 times a day in the designated killing area, surrounded by fences. The other people can just kill them through the fence using the lances without any danger.

Then, when we feel the area is clear, we expand.

No. Only 20 are Muslims of the 175.

I agree. Set up several small caches and stay moving.
