What would you do with a Guatemalan car?

Just poking around Google Street View, Guatamala seems to get a lot of Japanese domestic market imports that the US doesn't get due to the 25-year import ban for cars that haven't been crash-tested by the NHTSA, especially Kei vans which are awesome. Also, normal-sized pickup trucks that were more or less legislated out of existence by the EPA.
 
Trade it in for a nice fancy German car of course! Until it breaks down and I have to walk in my Gucci loafers.

Guatemalans make cars?
I think the joke was that normally cars during the NAFTA days would be assembled in Mexico, but the Simpson's family car is so shitty it's assembled in Guatemala. Though in another episode a mechanic says that Homer's car was made in Croatia with Soviet tank parts so anything is possible in the Simpsons universe.
