Chris was born with some major hurdles to get over, and his parents prevented him from getting over any of them. His behavior is the result of neglecting a retarded person in just about every important way. He's half a step up from being a feral child.

I feel really bad for Barb and Bob, personally. They looked so happy in the past, and having a child with such demanding special needs clearly took a really big toll on them both. They certainly weren't angels, and made a lot of questionable decisions in raising him, but there is a strong sense they were honestly just trying to do what they thought was right (especially in regards to mainstreaming - no doubt that was a bit of denial on their part of how bad he was, too).

Barb was an abusive mother who treated Cole like shit for years, and in one case almost killed him. And she's always been in denial of this.
Bob was loathed by his other children and estanged from them, which certainy happened for a reason.

They both neglected Chris for years, and basically refused to do anything about his autism, although what they were thinking I cannot tell. They went out of their way to make sure that Chris would never improve or change in any way, and did everything in their power to encourage and enable his shitty lifestyle, from planting various conspiracy theories in his mind to suing his school when they tried to get him the education he really needed to paying his credit card's debts.

So no, I refuse to believe they were trying to do the right thing. They're just thoroughly detestable morons who should never've had any children.

Chris chan, outside of his/her(?) antics and bigorty is honestly fucking depressing because he, at this point, will likely never overcome his issues.

This level of pandering is very common in the autism community. I had an aspie come up to me over fears that he had some other condition and I found out that this 16 year old can't cook, can't drive, rarely leaves the house, has no sense of independence... it was fucking scary to see that along with typical teenage arrogance and a seriously strong desire to hurt himself. This young man is completely dependent on his mother and doesn't understand what's wrong with it. I dated another guy, he was 24 at the time, and he was completely reliant on his batshit insane mother (who in of herself was an irl lolcow). He was beyond beta, he basically expected me to wipe his whiny ass for everything. I promptly told him to grow the fuck up.

Honestly, while spergs will be spergs, how their parents raise them is a huge part of how they end up as adults. And there's this huge influx of parents who just want to reward theit poor little autism child for everything because life with autism is sooooo hard, even though plenty of mildly autistic people not raised by pandering enablers live fairly normal lives. It'a fucking horrible, and Bob and Barb were the king and queen of enablers.

So to answer the question. Chris chan will likely not have a life after his mother dies. He will proably have a plethora of health problems. People who are pandered as much as he was usually end up on care homes after their parents die because they do not understand how to take care of themselves at all.

I think you're vastly overestimating how much Barb actually takes care of Chris. I think in general, he does do most of the providing for himself. His lifestyle isn't healthy, but it's not like he can't feed himself or drive.

Barb provides a roof for him to live under and maybe a little emotional support when she wants something. If Chris could afford to keep the house, he'd probably scrape by on his own. His quality of living would be pretty poor, but he's smart enough to know bills need to be payed and that he needs food to not starve. I'm not sure what support's available down where he lives, but it doesn't sound like he's had very much input from any services for the last decade or so.

What about the issue regarding social security though? If he becomes a convicted felon that could really harm his chances of getting help. He's essentially unemployable and his tugboat/inheritance is really the only way he'll be able to pay it off.

I don't know a ton about welfare so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe I'm just being a pessimist but I seriously think he will end up somewhere where he's being cared hy another individual.

Cole doesn't complain about Barb mistreating him (aside from the firearm incident, which I doubt actually happened as he told it). He only complains about her lying about his biological father. (Which there's no evidence for.)

They didn't neglect Chris (as far as the state is concerned). They didn't even deny Chris autism treatments in school. They denied a very specific autism treatment, and when they moved, they permitted him to have coping classes. They didn't go out of their way to keep Chris from improving, they specifically put him through school and community college.

Chris is not going to be convicted of a felony.

Oh, thanks for clearing that up.

That changes things a bit. With that information I think he may be able to care for himself. I'm honestly surprised that he's starting to gain a little bit of sense, HOPEFULLY, from when I started watching these antics in early 2010. I mean, granted, he's still a total loser but maybe, just maybe, he might be able to get by without Barb.

Of course he probably will still take shit care of himself but that's another issue.

A thousand plus threads, 30+ pages per thread, and no one suggests the obvious course of action when barb dies: Chris will use the dragon balls to wish her back to life.

what will happen to chris when the world falls down?

***Pure speculation ***

I wonder if it's mostly that Cole found Barb so unpleasant and demanding that he just stopped seeing her. He decided that his life would be happier and easier if he didn't spend time with his mother. The various specifics he cites are mostly just there to retroactively justify his decision not to deal with her.

Chris will go into serious denial, as he always does, and ignore her corpse for as long as possible. That is, until decomposition turns her arms blue, at which point we'll see another hilarious meltdown.

honestly I think Chris would just start living off commissions or something or just start selling his art at a higher price. Or just get a job at that strip club he likes, get fired, and do commissions again. However I think the novelty of having art made by Chris Chan would die out and he's have to go to find a real job which he would never be able to do because of his infamy on the internet, so after a year he'd probably die or become homeless. if he was smart he would sell his videos on dvd or something, that would be the only chrischan thing I would pay to get.

The manager at mcdonalds doesn't give a shit that Chris is a doofus on the internet. Chris has a pulse and speaks mostly intelligible english. That's all retail/fast food employers care about.

Eh, The shitty attempt at being a tranny WILL affect his employment chances. Whether that's justified or not is a different story. I would have to believe that just being a regular autistic weirdo is a lot more desirable than a tranny autistic weirdo. Even if you wanted to hire retards, you probably take the "normal" ones first. I'm not saying it completely invalidates his chances of being hired, but it lowers them even more than we all thought was possible.
