"I would not want to put my mom in a home." Once again the hypocrisy - Chris says this, but doesn't lift a finger, and when does, he stress sighs, about making living for Barb comfortable. Then again Barb for her part, is fine living in her infested home -horde and idiot son.
I've heard that Chris is basically trying to become a caregiver to his mother, with him even alleging that he has been taking classes in doing so. Though the voracity of him saying this is dubious at best. It really is sad that the state of their affairs has been reduced to being complacent with living in an insect/rodent filled horde of junk. I really wonder how much money has been wasted on that, and how it could have been used for better, more essential, things.

I would like to say that Barb's hording days are over, seeing they don't have a car to go to their regular rummage sales. One of the most famed archives of her was when Chris videotaped her sleeping on the couch, surrounded by boxes. If that isn't a visual metaphor for Barb's life, I don't know what is.
I was joking about you misspelling hoard.

Chris shouldn't be the caregiver of an ant farm.

"Reduced"?

Can't really reduce their state of affairs if it was at rock bottom to begin with. If anything, it's somehow slightly improved because of the house fire, if only because they have marginally less pets shitting everywhere and the interior was redone a few years back.

I want to say two years ago. Something happened to the Caravan, which prompted Chris to actually walk to the post office to mail his merch.
That's weird, because the CWCki says they still have the caravan.

Did it fail its MOT or whatever the American equivalent is?

With Chris, everything fails, so I wouldn't doubt that their car failed as well. It costs money and guess where Chris' priority is at the moment. I'm thinking if the car was up and running now, Chris wouldn't go anywhere cause the pandemic, and Barb's concerns relating to it. But that hasn't stopped Chris from bumming rides from his enablers/white knights to get where he wants to go.

Is that legal?
Not sure if its state by state or nation wide. But I think if the person you took the insurance policy out for is of a certain age, some companies let you buy back or cash out tge policy or something.

It wouldn't surprise me if Barb too a policy out for Chris for when she dies, but later did something like tgat because Chris is old enough to take care of Himself.
