Chris’s autism though. He’s lived in that house his entire life, and I frankly doubt that he can even imagine living elsewhere.

Fuck, one of the reasons why he’s so dedicated to the merge instead of planning for his own future, is probably how uncomfortable the thought of maybe having to move out makes him.

I’m sure Chris tried to imagine living somewhere else, late at night when he’s by himself. And as hard as he tried, he just pulled up nada.
The Chandlers lived in Richmond and Midlothian throughout the 90s, so Chris spent most of his adolescence and teenage years living outside 14BC, and was looking into (disregarding how lazy he probably was in doing so) moving out before he got hooked on the merge nonsense.

Although I do wonder if he's somewhat smart enough to get out of the house and make some sort of arrangements to leave once Barb dies and the mortgage payments stop. I know that Barb has been clinging on to him for her emotional outbursts and also her manipulative sinister tendencies, so she clearly doesn't love him in any sort of fashion and knows he's a screw up, but Chris probably doesn't see Barb as a major concern to worry about (he'd do fuck all about her wellbeing once Barb health starts to degrade further, if it hasn't been already) and he's said in tweets and messages that he's worried about her and he plans to help her, but who knows if he's actually going to go through his promises, he never really does.

He might not want to deal with any problems about transporting the body, reporting the body and attending any of the funeral/cremation stuff and just jump ship when she's close to dead or just about dead. Legally he is essentially just a tenet at the house right? he's not bound to it in any way and the only issues that he'd have by simply running away from all his problems in Ruckersville is changing his address so he could actually receive mail from the government and any sentimental/important items he left behind because it would weigh him down once he's hit the road

Keeping in mind, this is only the sort of scenario if he decided to be an even more disrespectful and neglectful piece of shit and leave Barb and his wild beasts behind for them to die on their own, eat any corpses in the hoard and rot away until someone else in the public notices.

I don't know if he's that heartless or more so completely delusional and brain dead to run away when the going gets tough.

When Bob died, I think it was obvious that Barb was in charge of the arrangements. Chris would need someone to handle Barb's funeral arrangements. that's what Null was trying to do, but Chris didn't want to listen and would babble about his pretend adventures, thus Null cutting contact with Chris. According to one podcast in which he was a guest, Chris admits that he is worried about Barb's eventual passing, and admits he has no plans on what to do afterward. Chris is too much of a coward to leave Barb and the dogs behind.

I'm reminded of that one video that Chris made to Cole's brother-in-law, attempting to guilt trip Cole into coming back to take care of Barb, while Chris can go have fun. It speaks volumes to his priorities. Cole was just smart enough to leave when it was the right time.

Lolat that first one. Could you imagine the entirety of the horde, towering above her the house by the road? And Chris frantically sprinting in between it, trying to figure out what to do with it all.
Well he is fucked then, when the bank goes after him. It seems like his best shot is hiding barbs corpse, he could get away with it for a decade probably, he may die before anyone realized what he is doing.
But seriously your post reminds me of this time an old lady died in my building and since she had no family they threw her shit in the street, including her cat. The poor cat had never been outside and kept nervously running circles around the garbage for days infront of the door until the stuff got picked up by a garbage truck, it must have stuck around because of the smell. I wonder if Chris will leave once the garbage man cleans the board and there is nothing left to cling to

If come stayed he would have definitely killed barb by now

Not sure if this has been said before, but I think the most likely option besides Chris being homeless is him living the rest of his life in a mental hospital. He definitely qualifies for a spot in one at this point.

Idk man... Remember that death notice in the newspaper? The one that said “Bob Chandler has numerous patents, and without him we wouldn’t even have a 2L coke bottle”?

There is no way Barb wrote that. That was 100% Chris

(The “Instead of flowers just give us cash” part could have been either of them though!)

That was just the obituary. a child (lol) can to the same thing. I'm talking about arrangements such as picking the font for the columbarium. What type of urn. You know, the grown up decisions.

Idk man, I just don’t see Chris ever leaving Virginia for good.

(He’s been on ONE plane trip his entire life. Even something like Bronycon took years of mental preparations and playing with the thought of going on a trip, before he did it.

And yes, Cleveland happened, but only because Chris thought there was China in there for him. And even then it was an 8 hour trip that trolls had to push and nudge Chris to take.)

I think Chris will stay in Virginia, most likely the Ruckersville/CwCville area till the day he merges with a coffin, not just because he’s autistic and allergic to change, but also (and maybe especially) because Chris is lazy as F and always takes the path of least resistance.

And of course he’s older now and his bad habits and laziness only got worse with time. If Chris had to move to another county, let alone another state, it would had to happen before he turned 30.

I disagree mainly because of the fact that Barb more or less treated him as part of the hoard for most of his adult life, especially after the Cleveland trip. During his "quiet spell" after Bob's death but before the fire, Chris was more or less kept on a tight leash by Barb. He didn't start going to conventions even in the Charlottesville area until after the fire and Barb becoming weaker and more feeble.

I could see him trying to get out of Virginia or at least Charlottesville/Ruckersville on some kind of Hail Mary pass once Barb is dead. Funerary arrangements shouldn't be too big of a deal since Bob got all that arranged prior to his own death.

That's one of the things that always irked me about Chris and becoming independent. Ruckersville and Charlottesville, VA as well as the entirety of Greene County want nothing to do with him. They've rejected him over the years, only putting up with him as a child because of his autism. His "friends" either only pitied him (high school gal pals) or bullied him outright (Sarah Hammer). The only people who really seem to want to be his friend are Copitz and his little group, but I'm pretty sure it's mainly to use him as a venue for making content; Yeah, no, nobody gives a shit about his speedrunning vids.

He could go to NC and live fairly comfortably in a subsidized apartment and still be able to get a LEGO set or vidya each month. He'd get SNAP money (food stamps) on top of his tugboat as well. Hell, if he can get a valid schizophrenia diagnosis he'd get even more. Then you have all of the fresh Gamestops, Wal-Marts and Hobby Stores that haven't banned him. He's resistant to change, but we know that whenever he's forced to for whatever reason, he adapts fairly well.

Hell, he could move to another part of Virginia. He could probably move to the far southwestern end of the state in the coal counties and live dirt cheap as a hillbilly. If he moved to Wise County, there's a gaming store in the area and he could probably hang with Melinda Scott and they could bitch about the trolls or whatever.

It's kind of amazing(ly sad) to think about how he and his father actually thought here was a widespread organized conspiracy against him from the local population... and yet he never moved.
A lot of people just generically dislike where they live. Chris thought that a lot of the townspeople were trolls in disguise trying to ruin his life, and his father backed him up on that.
And yet... he just stayed there.

Bob was a woefully out of touch geezer who thought it was a local conspiracy but was probably set in his ways and didn't want to move again over something as petty as his sped son acting like a jackass in a game store. He probably figured he could either smooth things over or wait until the locals got bored with Chris. By the time he was aware that it was an online organized thing and not local, he was already at the point where he gave up and was marking time until he died.

This whole thread is just kiwi farms users repeating the same things for 271+ pages.
"he's gonna be homeless"
"a ween will take him in"
"barb sucks"

Chris isn't smart, or sane, enough to survive on his own on the street. He'll probably loiter around local homeless shelters until he gets kicked out or gets the shit kicked out of him for doing something dumb.
i can see the other homeless people being scared of him
he will stop showering and changing clothes, if i saw a guy like that sumbling around with a half broken playdoh medalion rambling about the dimensional merge i would stay away

He's just a fat incredibly weak retard. Who would be scared of him?

Seasoned homeless people would likely see Chris as an easy mark, acting crazy seems to not be that uncommon among the homeless, especially when it comes to drug addicts.

The only people I could see being afraid of Chris is if he tried hitting on homeless teen girls at a shelter or something like that.

I don't think it'll get that far, he'll either come crawling back to Sockass or a closer Sockass wannabe ropes him in. Wise and Boyd let the genie out of the lamp.
