It's more complex than that, a generalization.
Maybe i should have elaborated, i don't get the luxury of doing things easy, i have to bleach my entire house daily, and this is after a long shift at work. I have to cook absurd amounts of food (enough to feed a family of 6) daily, and i have to do things such as Work absurd hours (60-80).
Not in your situation obviously, but I could imagine that the worst part is that you’re not in control of your fate or your daily life.
“Regular adults” can choose if they want to heat up some leftovers or order takeout or make a meal. You can’t. You don’t even have the freedom to choose when to clean or if to clean at all, and that’s gotta suck.
Freedom is the most valuable commodity we have that we often take for granted.
The whole foster care/CIS system is deeply fucked, and I hope you get out of it soon.
