Yo, what are we gonna do when Barb kicks it?

I think it’s gonna be a very complex series of events where Chris goes through a wild cycle of denial, disassociation, acceptance and existential fear. But unlike most people who go through a process of grieving and come out the other side, Chris is gonna be in a spiral where each emotion keeps renewing.

We wait until some węęn steals her ashes, comes here to brag about it and
a.) sells it on Ebay, probably to Jacob Sockness.
b.) forces Chris to make some shitty videos in order to get Barb back.

Then the guy gets his own thread.

If Chris becomes one of the pallbearers for Barbs casket, will he declare it weighed 20 tonnes like Pattis doghouse? ?

She won't even get that smidgen of dignity in death. Chris will choose the cheapest option of service available, which will probably consist of the funeral director handing over Barb's ashes with a "sorry for your loss..." then reeling in abject horror as Chris clumsily proceeds to empty the remains in a Sonichu adorned vessel of his own making, spilling bits of Barb all over the place.

Marvin is going throw a party and will invite Kiwi Farms members to it.
Chris would be invited as well, but he will throw a tantrum about people not honoring Barb’s death on social media and record himself doing a Curse-ye-ha-me-ha at a picture or Marvin.

I believe Chris would be able to receive 75% of both Bob and Barb's SS payments as a surviving disabled child (which he would be, as he is receiving SSDI himself). So he might actually be okay, as long as he can keep up with the bills. The pensions would be gone unless there's a provision for surviving disabled children.

That being said, Chris living alone in 14 Branchland Court would be dark. Honestly, I hope he has some real friends to comfort him when his mom dies because that is awful enough for anyone, let alone someone like him.

You are being far too optimistic here, and I'll tell you why: Does Chris look mentally fit at all to wake up and say, "Hey, both of my parents are dead, maybe I should be a lot more serious about my finances since I don't have a job?"

He'll do the same thing he always does. Wake up midday, spend almost all of his newly freed dollars on video games and junk food, ramble about some inane delusional shit on social media, and roll around in his own filth, until he loses everything. This is if he is left to his own devices and doesn't have a caretaker or his family doesn't step in.

Let's face it: Barb taught Chris all of the wrong lessons in life, and now that Bob is gone, there is nothing to separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to Chris' well-being. Chris is doomed barring some sudden epiphany that he's a colossal fuck-up and he changes himself for the better.

On the one hand, I think you're right...the past couple of years have made it clear he's not of sound mind and is now skirting a dangerous, even non-functional level of mental illness unless he's just joking about the dimensional merge et al.

On the other hand, I think Chris does have an understanding of the bills he has to pay to keep living in his home by living with Barb and can probably keep that up for a long time, even if 14 BC falls into utter disrepair on the outside. He's not retarded, just autistic.

Honestly, once Barb dies, I think he will probably try to leave 14 Branchland Court as soon as he feasibly can.

Even with his dimensional delusions, it's very clear he hates living with Barb and hates being tied to the Hoard. This is a sentiment he has felt for years, before the CPU dimensional stuff or even before he went full troon.

Marvin has pretty much confirmed that the only reason why Chris is still living at 14 Branchland Court is because of being conditioned by years of Barb's abuse and manipulation.

Ironically, he's finally at a point in his life where he could actually stand up to Barb and tell her to fuck off, since now she needs him more than he needs her, but this is a relatively recent thing and he's been conditioned for too long to stand up to her.

Once she's gone, he'll finally be free. The question is how will he react to it? Regardless of whether or not he could keep the house, he does not want to live there at all. The question is whether or not we'll get a "homeless saga" or a "cheapo public housing saga"

The "group home" idea has been shot down many times, but if prodded in the right direction, I could easily see Chris moving into some Section 8 housing or something similar once Barb is gone, even with his current delusions.

The only real problem would be if the shock of Barb's death ends up making the dimensional merge stuff ore intense and severe.

I was thinking about this earlier and...I'll speak for myself here but when I first got out "on my own" I had to learn a lot of lessons the hard way. I learned about missing credit card payments, buying a "lemon" car, how taxes work, how jobs can treat you, etc. And Chris is going to have to learn a lot of hard lessons when he's on his own as well. And I hope that in the long run it helps him to be a better person. Lessons like that don't magically create morality but they can help people grow up some. SOME.

I don't need to use much imagination to get a good idea of what will happen to CWC when the day finally comes that his mother passes away.

Pretty much CWC has been far too dependent on his parents for much of his life now. He never held a job for a long period of time, he is not good with managing his finances, his priorities are really screwed up, and common sense is an almost foreign concept to him in most situations.

Here's what will happen to CWC after his mother passes away. He's going to find himself to be truly alone in the world, the utility companies will then cut off many of the vital services to his house like water and electricity when he can no longer pay for them anymore (because really he would rather just spend his money on toys rather than things for his own survival), the bank will eventually foreclose on his house (well again it's really because he would rather spend his money on toys rather than looking after himself), and then CWC will either end up homeless, he could probably end up going to prison, or (which will pretty much probably be the case) end up in some psychiatric ward for the rest of his life.

It's going to be a very dark future for CWC and we will all be there to witness the slowest moving train wreck finally come to a stop so there it is.

I feel like she'll just end up buried under the mountains of crap in the Chandler house. I don't even think Chris will notice until he needs her to drive him somewhere. The rotting smell would be masked nicely by the smell of Chris and the garbage.

Chris can drive. He drove to BronyCon. He will probably drive to BronyCon 2019.

I think it was Marvin who said this, but Chris isn't (that) stupid; he knows bills need to be paid, and he's smart enough to recognize patterns in the bills- when they arrive, what they're for, when they're due, etc. He'll make the minimum payment necessary to keep the lights on, but otherwise blissfully ignore reality.
However, this is where the Idea Guys and their manipulation come into play. They've convinced Chris (who was never the most stable individual to begin with) that his lunatic creations are real, and that he can meet them. Chris has been blowing off his credit card debt (until reality intrudes in the form of lawsuits), believing himself to be rich in his fantasy world, and as soon as the dimensional merge happens, he'll pay off the debt. His grip on reality is more tenuous than ever, and one of two things will happen: 1., he'll get a grip and carry on much as before, hiding out in his room, living a white trash lifestyle and sperging about Sonichu; or 2., he'll go completely off the deep end and have to be forcibly committed.
In my humble opinion, the "Straightjacket Saga" won't be a thing unless something (such as a new Idea Guy) appears and gives Chris that final push over the edge.
