Yeah, maybe.

People with dementia have good days and bad days. At the same time, malingering is a thing.

Barb was able to get herself disowned by her family. I have not been able to pull that off, and I'm a terrible person. She was probably awful for years, I wouldn't put faking it past her, and I wouldn't bet either way.
 
The thing that makes me tend to believe there has been some breakdown in Barb's consciousness is looking at her physical appearance since Bob died. She looks nothing like the woman in the eating the hamburger video. She's aged a lot and her face has fallen. When she speaks she's only paying attention on a very superficial level. That could be senility, but it also could be chronic alcoholism.

To be fair, we never really got a good look at Barb or Bob the way we did Chris; their appearances have been sporadic throughout Christory and Barb's (relatively) frequent appearances lately are a new thing.

J.O. WESTON, OF RED OAK IS KILLED
Joseph Otto Weston, 58, a farmer, was killed late Friday when he apparently fell from his horse drawn wagon on a rural road near Red Oak Charlotte County.

Weston, of Red Oak, was hauling wood. Apparently he fell from the wagon and under a rear wheel.

His body was discovered after the driverless horse and wagon turned up at a nearby service station.

Dr. P.H. Winston, of Clarksville, medical examiner, said death was caused by a broken neck.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Carrie Winn Weston; five daughters, Mrs. Wilborne Bourne, of Richmond, and Mrs. Edward Carey and Misses Barbara Ann, Mabel and Harriet Weston, of Red Oak; three sons, William S. Weston, with the Navy at Norfolk, and DeRoy Lewis and Curtis Wayne Weston, of Red Oak; three brothers, Alfred Weston, of Chase City, and Daniel and Roy Weston, of Red Oak; one sister, Mrs. Mabel M. Blacklidge of Richmond, and one grandchild.

A funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Antioch Baptist Church.

Well with nerds in general, yeah.

But with Chris, it's not quite that harsh. They like hanging out with Chris and sperging about nerd shit.

Normal people have plenty of options for friends, so they generally spend time with people in their same social (age, gender, income) stratum. But nerds have a limited pool to draw from, so they're willing to spend time with people who might be substantially different from them.

A 20 year old nerd might make friends with the 50 year old computer engineer at the bar because he seems interesting. Normal people would ask that nerd "why?". The nerd responds "why not?".

Four years after that video the series of begging videos with Barbara as a zombie began. What happened between 2012 and 2016 that made such a profound impact on her? I'm guessing either onset of senility of some sort or a whole lot of alcohol.

I don't think the husband stealing is relevant any more. Barb is past her prime for that sort of thing.

Didn’t Chris mention she was a breast cancer survivor? Cancer can do a number on a person. Specially things like make you lose tons of weight.
