Poor Barb.

Every. Single. Day now.

It has been this way for her since the day she got photographed resembling a Snorlax.

Sitting, staring, hearing what purgatory noises she can hear, until one of her cats comes meowing for affection. Sitting there in embarrased tears that her son transformed into this thing and that she is now famous for saying "I didnt raise a daughter" and "Get off, before I go off." When at a time she was a successful secretary.

Her best memory outside of life with the Chandlers was when she nearly shot her own child son to death in a Loft in Richmond.

For all we, she and Chris knows, she could very well have less than at least 200 days left. She is that sick and Chris just blows the tugboat on old Transformer models and Ghostbuster Legos when she needs her Inhaler medicine.

Even to this day, I am sure Barb keeps consistently pondering the point of no return and why she followed the way she did.

All Barb had to do, to avoid all this, and this horrible way to die was to not go to Karaoke that night.

It doesn't matter whether he can survive on his own.

There just isn't some magic fairy dust government entity that randomly swoops up idiots and then puts them in homes because people on the Internet disapprove of their stupid choices.
I wish people could understand this. Chris will either fend for himself, or he'll be out on the street. The social service systems that take care of incapable people are already stretched past their limits and don't have the resources they need to do their job... and Chris has been determined to be legally competent, so he is most definitely not their job.

If this happens, expect more of Chris begging for money. Heaven forbid if he tries something as stupid as the 2011 incident.

this, pretty much this
unless you can somehow convince him it's for the best, chris ain't going to leave the house
no one will take chris away unless he goes super tard and seriously hurts someone
and the only way the house will be taken away is via cole or something huge no one saw coming takes it away
he's not leaving on his own

Much to our chagrin.

The thing is as much as I do belive Chris need's some form of supervisory care unless he has a serious deterioration in his mental condition or physical state in a post Barb world I just don't see it happening for the reasons you outlined. The thing is he's mostly just quiet and when he is annoying he doesn't really cause trouble to people (with a few exemptions). And even then that's a stretch that he's have it for the rest of his life, there are other comparable cows who will land in a group home before he does because they are more physically intrusive and actively self destructive than him.

The courts have determined multiple times that Chris is legally a competent adult.
At the very worst, he's spent the better part of his life in a legal/social grey area, where he was autistic except when he wasn't.

So, for once, Mr. and Mrs. Chandler succeeded at something: They successfully obfuscated the issue until it was much too late.

There actually is a weird kind of outsider art element to Sonichu, I guess. It's fucking godawful, but one can't help but admire his sincerity.
There's that, and of course it was Chris himself who bothered by his own volition to tell the world of Sonichu through his former Tripod site, the Animal Crossing tape he sent to Nintendo Power, or even the newsletter he tried to peddle on campus.

Do we have a copy of that newsletter? I for the life of me can't imagine what would be in it. This was before the madness kicked off in earnest, keep in mind.

I'm sure most would've passed them by or have thrown them out simply out of not caring of the matter. This was a college after all and certainly people had their own priorities to deal with.

What about the house fire, I can just imagine all of the marvelous toys Chris-Chan has jammed into his wall sockets, iphone chargers, PS4 control chargers, antique vibrators. What am I thinking, there is going to be a drive in 2021 to repair Chris-Chan's house for the second time.

This is like asking what will happen when 2+2=5
It is just simply impossible to say anything about what will happen when barb dies because it completely contradicts all characteristics of observable reality for her to not be alive

People say this dumb shit all the time but it hasn't happened and won't because Chris is probably of about average IQ.

The fact that people disapprove of his shitty, dumb choices in how he chooses to live his life do not mean he will be put in a group home.
This is rather generous.

Chris isn't Reymon14, but he can't even stay coherent within a single sentence. He probably has an IQ somewhere in the 80s.

Not that a decent IQ's a guarantee of anything. @Connor Bible probably has an average IQ, and his life's even more pathetic.

Cole will finally feel fulfilled and hopefully get a real job
Also chris will probably shit himself

The grotesque, hive minded individuals known as "weens" will finally take over the trolling community. After a shooter attacks Barb's funeral "for epic lulziness," the remaining legitimate trolls will go into hiding, unsure of what the authorities would do if they discovered their involvement, knowing they would not be able to differentiate them from the weens. The CWCki would be defiled, and the few remaining scraps of Christology would waste away.

Chris, on the other hand, with no more anchors to reality, will fall deep into the pits of madness. 14 Branchland Court will become nothing but a rotting pile of wood, encasing within it a madman and his memoirs, constantly conducting experiments on his own seminal fluid in order to create an offspring who he will mold into his own incestuous sexual pet, known as Crystal Weston Chandler.

tl;dr: Chris will shit himself and do nothing, as usual.

When Barb dies, Chris will schedule a "press conference" where he will reveal that he has been acting all along, forced to keep up this ruse by Barb in order to get free money from suckers online. He will apply and be accepted at the famous Juilliard School for acting, and will go on to have a very impressive career as a Broadway actor. He will go on to win several Tonys, some of which come from writing his own musical "Bye Bye Julay!".

The night he dies, the lights will go dark on Broadway, and the media will report that "The Smartest Playwright in the World"'s final words were "I did it for the Laughs Under Lucricities".

Thanks to an ever-increasing tugboat, Chris will never starve. However, he will stay at home and upload videos, failing to pay the power, water, and mortgage bills, on account of his careless spending despite the tugboat now being big enough to cover everything. Once he loses power and running water, he'll likely bum his local library to upload videos from.

Ignoring the piling debt, he will lose his house and all around him will wisely suggest that he enter a shelter. However, knowing his patterns, he'd rather walk the streets and face more jerkops than follow the rules of a shelter.

TL;DR: Chris will piss away all money and lose everything, getting in more trouble than ever, and he will too busy cycling through homelessness and imprisonment to continue his online antics.
