We just been watching Chris from a small Window in time, we just seen it when he went outside or when he did upload a video mainly (There are a few exceptions tho). But now imagine how its 24/7 - 365 Chris, his privated meltdowns that we will never know because the only witness was Barbara...
everyone that ever asked how The bOrb ignored chris' screaming in his room wasn't considering the massive relief they must have felt just having chris occupied by something, away from them.
That's one of the things that always strikes me watching Classic Chris videos where he's screaming, tarding out, jumping up and down, threatening people, etc... and all the while, his parents are literally just down the stairs, having to listen to it all.
sometimes i question why bob didn't 'cut it down'. then i remember the internet rescued bob n barb from having to hear chris talk all fucking day about sonichu nonsense.
Probably because, by that point in Chris's life, he was shown to be unable to hold down a job, having zero interest in using his degree, and with Chris being around them non-stop for years at that point (Being in school meant half the day without Chris), they realized that the only thing Chris was good at being was a babbling, noise making monthly one thousand dollars.
Had Bob taken away the internet, Chris would need something to occupy his time since he sat around all day, which would have meant interacting more with his parents. Even early in his life, his parents just dumped him off somewhere while they went out and had fun.
What's really sad is you could definitely tell around the time Chris's parents just stopped nurturing him, at all. There was no pushes for him to get new hobbies, or go somewhere or learn something new, he was just a monthly check that more or less could take care of them.
it might even happen while she's still alive.
