Case IV of the Tumblr Files is now up

Since the Tumblr Files are now complete, I'm hoping to focus on other things in 2026. That, however, doesn't mean I'm not still willing to do something big for the Farms this year. If or when I ever find the time for it, what should I do next?

Vote above and discuss.

All of the above would be good choices, but the Pyohato one is really catching my eye given that one of Pyo's biggest harassers, riki2321gamer / John Fortnite Kennedy / Kara, went on to participate in the Chud Buds hack alongside members of the Torswats Conspiracy, attempted to frame me for his own (faked) suicide while posing as the developer of Soyjak Party, and is currently in hot water and getting doxed by chud.win users for allegedly spamming CP in the Blockland Forums' Discord server.

All that to say, I'd be curious to see a good deep-dive into where this guy got his start (around Pyohato's community), given it's one of the bigger holes in my understanding of his online history.

If you do /v/, other boards like /b/ or /x/ could also be worth their own investigations into the influence they had on internet culture. Where did the /v/ board's fixation on weight gain come from and why are most of the posts not related to video games?

These are all good options, especially/v/. But me being me, I have to vote for the Sonic thread. Have I personally witnessed most Sonic-cows rise and fall? Yes. Will I ever pass up a chance to watch someone else ramble about it and try to put together the pieces and tell me why I'm like this? No.

In my day, TripleQ was orbited by a lot of troon/furry drama. I fear you might be a little late to archive everything but I could be wrong.

Mariel Cartwright, the one who drew gore and shit? Sounds good. Troonby Fuchs also is good.
I think what would be worth would be one about Dumblr's fixation with retro games.

Would the thread if it was about Toby Fox be in Lolcow General, Lolcows of History or the main? Because I do not see any exactly damning information about Toby beyond weird forum posts. If something spicy came to light by new research from people here however KF could face a battle even more intense than DropKiwiFarms.

If we go with Toby Fox it will be very arduous task since as we have seen when we briefly tried to unsmask the enigma behind his persona all his past and possibly compromising info is either redacted or lost to the internet void , and Toby himself is a very discrete presence online at least in the public scene, we would be chasing ghosts to a certain point

I'm always very curious about more insight into Siivagunner and Triple Q by extension but feel currently pretty satiated with them after the Tumblr Files.
For me it got close between /v/ and Know Your Meme but ultimately went with the former because of the bigger relevance it used to have.
/v/ is an excellent example of how cynical and joyless internet spaces became over time

A lot of good options here.

A Toby Fox thread would be difficult imo, since he has pretty good OPsec and tends to stay out of the public eye.

A dive into /v/ would be basically be the opposite side of the Tumblr coin, and I think it would be really interesting to see how many recurring characters from the Tumblr Files pop up again, considering how many tripfags probably ended up becoming funnymen in the long run.

KYM is a site I haven't thought about going into like that, to be honest. Most of the time I just go there when a new stupid meme (i.e. 67) pops up, and usually I'm only there to figure out "why" this onslaught of shitty memes keeps getting worse. It's a site I've mostly ignored, so if there's something juicy there I'd be interested to see it.

A history of Sonic lolcows kinda feels poetic in a way. That fanbase has been fertile ground for spawning cows since even before a certain Virginia resident won a certain sweepstakes. I'd like to try to get to the bottom of why so many autistics latch onto Sonic in the first place, since such a high concentration of autism in one fanbase can't be coincidental. There's gotta be some kind of pheromone in those games that captures them in such magnitude.

Triple-Q seems like one of the biggest single lynchpins in all four of your previous cases. Whenever you'd drop a bombshell, it seemed like he was always right at ground zero. How many heads does that hydra really have? I was so close to voting for him, but there was one other option that felt more compelling to me.

Tumblr's retro game obsession would kind of tie into all of the aforementioned areas in one way or another. Most of Tumblr's retro game fans probably came from /v/ or Something Awful. Toby Fox's background in the Earthbound hacking community directly inspired Undertale's artstyle and gameplay. Emulators like Dolphin led to a re-evaluation of games like Wind Waker and Mario Sunshine; and I have no doubt emulation led to a similar appreciation for Sonic Adventure that we see today. Retro game OSTs were the bread and butter of Soundclown. Big YouTubers like James Rolfe built their careers off of mocking "shitty games" of the past, and exposing them to a whole new audience. A lot of the people in those spheres would go on to make games of their own, all using the same crunchy, low-quality PSX/N64/Dreamcast
"A E S T H E T I C ®".
I feel like this would probably be the best topic to get into, since it seems like almost everything else seems to stem from this nostalgia-obsessed corner of the internet, especially the retro game fandom.

The History of Sonic: Lolcow Edition is not what you'd think at first. Rather, I would go through the entire history of the Sonic franchise as a whole, starting from Sonic 1, going all the way up to the present, explaining the history behind the games' development, the people involved, the shows, comics, and other media, and of course, how it all ties into the culture that formed around it online.

Nice. I would love to see your take on the Archie comics and Ken Penders. These two are to blame for extreme autism. And furry bait thanks to the damn Sally Acorn.

No, you just call up all his high school classmates and pretend to be a Japanese detective building a case. You say "Moshi moshi, I am with Shizuoka Prefecture speciar victim unito, we would rike to know how Mistah Fox undah age boy impregnation fetish started, why he think he girl trapped in boy body."

I'd go with either UnknownKongYT or DeputyARUUU, mostly out of curiousity.

Show us your pussy.

You may be onto something... What kind of twisted fetishes would Toby indulge in Japan?, asuming of course he isn't being discriminated from several sex business for being a brownish amerimutt

All excellent choices, I even had a hard time casting my vote on which topic, since all of them seem great.

I did go with KYM, since I've used that website in its prime and remember how great it was... at least in my experience, but I also do remember some of the sperg fights and notable users that were there.

... I'm not even sure if you can even do a Community Watch like other internet fandoms, because that site nowadays is more dead than dead. I went there to see how it was going... and yeah, the forums are basically three user replies per week, the image galleries don't work, I see trending images from 2 months ago still on the first page (most of them being goonerbait btw) and new images are almost entirely being run by reddit mods...

At this point, the only reason you'd ever go there is if you don't like Lessons in Meme Culture that much.

A trip in KYM's history would be fun though.

All I want to see is justice for my boy who got crucified for not getting it:

Oh shit. It's happening.

Genuinely excited about this one. Is it going to be split into multiple parts or is it just going to be one massive thing?
It'll be just like most other traditional Kiwi threads. One big post (or two), and any discoveries made in the thread will be added to the OP. It'll include a lot of the stuff I dug up for Case III, but I'll also be sure to include a lot of other info and findings, well beyond the 2016 cutoff date.

I've definitely thought a lot about what @Irreedemable Ret. 2 said about KF "facing a battle even more intense than DropKiwiFarms", though.
