For me:
  • The many landlocked countries of central Asia, the inland provinces of China, and that millions of people actually live there
  • Small market sports teams, such as the Jacksonville Jaguars or Colorado Rockies
  • That the Soviet Union had an internet domain (.su)

Sadly through the march of time I've forgotten many of the things I enjoy. My music archive became lost to me with the death of mp3 players and I, like many others depend on online platforms, but sadly those aren't reliable.

I had a playlist on YouTube that was to create specific moods for any scene I was writing in my story. Upon revisiting that playlist I've noticed a number of songs have disappeared and I don't even know what they are anymore. I just have to trust in myself to know what to look up when I'm writing certain scenes.

I think forgetting things and seeing things disappear is a part of getting older. It's just another product of the human condition we have to cope with.

Random areas just off of my normal path. Say, if I make a few uncommon turns and find myself in a nice little park, I may forget all about it if I'm away for a year.

Wetbikes, which were these janky jetski/motorcycle hybrids that were fairly popular for a period of time. My uncle owned one until it randomly exploded, which I don't think was uncommon.

Antarctica. There is an entire continent at the bottom of the earth that has no permanent population besides some scientists and it's really weird.
I remember having to learn about Antarctica in Geography class, during the start of highschool. I was actually pretty excited, at first, because they told us we were going to learn about a whole continent for the year. I thought it would be something interesting, like Europe or Asia. Turns out, it was the one continent that barely even had a human fucking population. I was so pissed. Didn't help that our teacher was a total cunt. Bitch wasn't even a qualified Geography teacher
