You could keep reading but as a true and honest believer in YHWH you should always apply His commandments.
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."
Jesus tells you nothing has been abolished. The punishments in the Law are the same as they were.
If you choose to not implement them, you are rebelling against God and His messengers.
 
Don't be a Christian?
But if you have to this one Christian I knew had a good strategy when it came to stuff in the Bible he didn't like, he would just ignore it. His justification was that Levitical laws were part of the old covenant and that when Jesus showed up he created the new covenant, a new set of holy rules and laws which replaced the old ones. From this perspective Leviticus is more of a informative historic inclusion rather than a prescriptive one.
