Ive tried Bing because its less biased but the result quality is poorer and whenever I try to view news sites it just overlays the website with some shitty Microsoft news app and begs me to download it.

I want a search engine thats privacy focused, relatively unbiased and doesn't do gay shit like Bing.

Bing, now give me the solution

Brave and tor are two that null talks about a lot

1. Searx is a metaengine that combines results from different engines and can be used to search directly for files, making it great for piracy and finding very specific things, it's great. It works similarly to nitter and has multiple slightly different instances catalogued on searx.space, so, unlike regular search engines, so you'd have to try out a couple to find one that works the best for you. Highly recommended.
2. Didn't expect to say that, since it has always kinda been a "we have Google at home" engine, but Yandex has probably become better and more accurate than Google in recent years, go try it out (after you manage to disable that GO DOWNLOAD OUR BROWSER RIGHT NOW notification that pops out after every search).
3. wiby.org is not really a conventional search engine, but a kind of archive for personal websites that used to be common in the early years of the Internet and are still functioning. Open it and click the "surprise me" button a dozen times, I guarantee that you won't regret it.

Brave, Duckduckgo, Yandex, and Ecosia(if you like trees). Not sure if Ecosia is good. Trees are good, though. Kiwifarms is the first result when looking it up on there.

@Rusty Crab is constantly shilling Kagi, so I'd go with that.
I use Kagi since it was a few months old (early adopter) and it’s really only gotten better. Their “Quick Answer” is a really nice feature that usually can cut through bullshit most of the time. Worth the money imo

None really. There's a few but they all just use the Google search results anyway. It doesn't really matter which one you choose. The results will be the same or nearly. Google kind of cornered the market like 20 years ago. Their userbase and search data is the biggest. Most of them use it.

AskJeeves is still around but known as Ask.com now. I remember when it was known as Ask jeeves. It sucks though.

Then you have DuckDuckGo Brave search and Tor has one I believe. There is a Russian one called Yandex.

I just did the white couples search on Google and got back the usual results. Though not as bad as it was years ago with those search terms. I got a few pics of white women with white men. Then some pics of interracial couples. Yandex actually did worse than Google did with that search. The pictures for the Yandex search were way more pozzed than Google pictures search results. It seems like Yandex is still using the old Google search results for that.

Like I said, they all use the Google search data so it's all going to be the same or about the same.

This is the only real answer. All search engines are shit and biased in some way, so instead of relying on any one of them, you just aggregate all of them. It's as good as it will get for the foreseeable future.
