The black American Spirits are actually pretty tasty. Don’t smoke anymore, but they were like $12 a pack years ago. Can’t imagine what they are now.

You can make some quick pocket money bringing in clove cigarettes if you were inclined.

Not American but same. Roll my own and smoke Drum. Then again, I don't know if I like it better because of habits or taste. I have not really shopped around much. They were one of the rare ones to have 50gs bags and that was enough to hook me.

I no longer smoke, but I was a huge Djarum Black smoker. I liked the clove smell and aftertaste, but they were expensive. Then I changed to American Spirit cigarettes since the company constantly gave them away for free.

I just prefer shag cut tobacco because it rolls nicely and always tasted much more rich and smooth than ribbon or flake cut. Bali Shag is my preferred brand but it’s hard to find in my area. Drum is a nice enough substitute though

Marlboros, at least the ones I can get in my area, always tasted like cheap carboard to me. Rolling your own is the better option.
Edit: Philip Morris is my go to option if you don't want to roll your own.

Many years ago there was a (USA) nationwide survey that showed more doctors smoke Camels than any other brand of cigarette.

No one would do such a survey or advertise cigarettes that way nowadays, but there still must be some doctors who smoke.

I wonder what is the brand most smoked by doctors in the USA in 2024.

When I feel like treating myself, I go with Nat Sherman's Black and Gold. They're really nice, and you can get them online for pretty cheap, but getting them in a shop is gonna run you $25+ easily thanks to all the taxes.
Otherwise, I stick to Pall Mall Reds. They're nigger tier, but they're usually close to the cheapest and they burn forever. Camels are a pretty good middle ground between price and quality imo, though the prices definitely can be more unreasonable in some states.

If I'm broke, I'll pick a bag of w/e cheap loose tobacco is at the shop and roll my own/just smoke it from a pipe. I'm not terribly picky in that regard since its a last resort anyway.
