Anyone in here ever heard a cnc mill cutting aluminum at high speeds?
High speed metal sounds great. I don't have any in the home shop unfortunately, but I did invest in a tormek sharpener a while back the sound of the thousand grit wheel putting on an edge is music to my ears. An air impact will probably be forever ingrained as the sound of "work" for me.

Aluminum is soft so you can basically max out the spindle, say like 20,000 rpm on your end mill, and the aluminum doesn’t do any sort of shrieking noises.. it’s like what you’re hearing is a million muted snaps of chips coming off the work piece and it ends up sound like an electrical zap kind of thing.
