Read the earl!er stuff by the guy beforehand !f you go !nto !t !n any capac!ty, a lot of the earl!er stuff before homestuck !s much less stretched out and funn!er than homestuck ends up be!ng

It depends. The first acts have little to no connection with the rest in terms of storytelling, humor, characters, or even the art style. The first five acts of Homestuck are honestly worth it. The rest is trash.

Basically, it originally follows four socially awkward kids who get the chance to play Sburb, a sort of hybrid between an MMO and The Sims. You have a shit tons of text to describe the rules of the damn thing and nobody ever cared about it. One those kids is named John. John is the best character. Anyone telling you otherwise is a liar.

Anyway. Sburb also affects reality and triggers the end of the world. The players have to work together to survive and eventually win the game. Honestly, the real meat of the comic lies in the character interactions and the overall chaotic humor, which is very much rooted in the web culture of 2008 to 2012. It's cringe but in a wholesome way if you were online in that era.

The original main antagonist is some nigger named Jack Noir. Jack is a basic NPC of Sburb. Jack hates his fucking life and those fucking kids. He also hate his own faction/kingdom, especially his queen. He's not that important in Sburb, the players can either help him betray the queen or ignore him entirely.

However, our kids are degenerate retards and massively fuck up their game. They somehow manage to fail so hard they give ultimate powers to Jack Noir by accident. This nigger immediately start a BLM campaign on a Cosmic scale. Shenanigans ensue. They don't lead anywhere. Seriously this shit will get you invested for nothing.

Act 6 came around after a long ass pause and everything got hijacked by trannies and horny teens and the entire thing went to shit. The last thousands of pages are dedicated to who is fucking who and how deep and depressed some of these fuckers are. They also added dozens of new characters and gender snowflakes for no reason. None of them are interesting. The plot dies so does your interest. The end.

Had to disagree due to this because what the fuck are you talk ing about the acts aren't seperate non connected stories. also jack would fuck ing stab the shit out of BLM.

They barely are connected. The story is so fucked it's impossible to view it as a direct continuation to the early stuff. Hell, it even includes a built-in retcon at some point. It's shit. It's hell. It's nothing like Acts 1-5 and all the new ancestors and new kids are pure cancer, as well as Lord English. It's all trash. They share the same title and artstyle (sorta) but it's basically a new comic.

also the "retcon's" just t!me travel w!th extra steps, not an actual retcon. !t's dogsh!t though. There are tons of actually god awful retcons !n act 6 though that were ent!rely t!ed to try!ng to appease certa!n parts of soc!al med!a though.
