What is flirting?

You stand up straight, look them in the eyes, say "I am approaching you with amorous intent. Do not be afraid", then wink with both eyes (not at the same time. One after the other in quick succession). If they do not reciprocate then keep winking. It will work eventually. Some people just require more winks than others

I don't know why men act like 5 year olds around women they like.
Society shames us for being too direct when it comes to anything sexual and this isn't something that's easy to get over because being too sexual as a man is synonymous with being considered creepy. We have to be cautious about how we approach these things for survival purposes (not getting fired from jobs or sued).

Disgusting old men aren't worried about shit like that.

Only if you're unattractive. It's to keep you in your cuckshed, so stay there.

Nah, James Franco got metooed too, so it can happen to anyone. Shitposting aside, promiscuity is a bad idea for anyone anywhere ever because it comes with many unintended and retarded consequences.

You can't compare hollywood actors with ordinary workplace shenanigans, because they're on completely different levels. Metoo should have maintained its focus, because it was about the deep rot inside hollywood. But the well oiled PR machine after a couple of months was able to redirect it to population in general.

Having worked in entertainment industry I almost instantly believe allegations because I've seen so many of them go down. And in all likelyhood james franco too had to pay sexual favors to someone else to even get to his level of fame, so it's a kind of paying it forward.

Didn't he pull a Danny Masterson?
I thought he was accused of challenging students into taking classes in how to play sexual scenes with increasing demands. Which is quite a bit different from masterson who drugged and raped women. And what did it really cost franco? 2 million dollars? no roles for a year? Its peanuts.
Honestly offering classes of how to do sex scenes at a drama school and then having sex with them is quite a bit further than "hitting on the wrong woman" or "being too direct".

Remember, one of their demands when the court case was building up before it was settled out of court, is that he would delete the videos. Think about that.

Yes, yes, Hollywood and all of LA unironically deserve to be burned to the ground, we all know, that's not the point. Anything that becomes a mainstream cultural trend widely circulated in the media/tabloids will happen on some scale at every level and the average guy is also not going to have the same resources to defend himself as a rich celebrity.

No clue. There was so much of this stuff happening at one point that I stopped paying attention to the specifics.

I don't think the risk is any bigger than the risk that women have of being raped. Men and women both take risks in cavorting with each other. Yes, it's not risk free. But the chances of these things happening aren't that big, especially if you do build good relationships with people and don't give them a cause for taking revenge. Then only if you hit up someone insane like Amber Heard and again, it's not a risk that's exclusive to men, just different.

But how many people have lost their job for saying "Hey I think you're really pretty and I'd like to take you out?"

There's a whole youtube channel about scientology that cataloged everything about it, it was pretty good. Also what he could expect from jail (blackmail, beatings and hell in general).
Here's one video from the channel:

I agree in theory, but in practice it depends on where you are and who you're around. There's no simple or neat way to guarantee anything in life. Either way less is better than more because anyone can be a psycho and fucking for the sake of fucking isn't so special as to be worth any extraneous risks. I've gotten it out of my system when I was younger and more impulsive.
