What is beyond oblivion?

Nothing, oblivion implies a complete nothingness beyond even an afterlife.
Pretty sure it comes from Greek mythology, there's the underworld and beyond even that the river Lethe that makes you lose all memories and all sense of self. It's a complete and totally death beyond all death.
If you mean just death, I dunno, maybe a cloud or pit of fire

I played a VN once where a girl is trapped in this limbo for refusing to complete a ritual to pay back a god who granted a wish. There's a river in it and she decides to try and cross it. She wades through the water for centuries and there's just nothing but water. So she gives up and turns back. I imagine oblivion is like. Even if you were somehow conscious in it you could travel through the nothingness forever and never find an exit.

You have to drink from the Lethe to be reincarnated. So I wonder if people that claim they remember past lives spit the water out when no one was looking. :lol:

This seems totally in line with Greek mythology. Attempting to pull a fast one on gods/spirits is common and accepted.
