I made this "cajun" shrimp rice thing and I'm pretty happy with how it came out. I made the rice with some chicken broth and seasoning (salt, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, oregano). I cooked the shrimp in a separate pan with some butter and the same seasoning. Then at the end I threw it all together along with a frozen mixed vegetable bag I had (previously heated obviously).

Nothing too impressive but it's definitely better than the usual crap I live off of.

Just need some cayenne pepper to finish the deal. That and butter; a fuckload of butter.

I'd eat the shit out of whatever that is.

Started making some chicken ramen from scratch. Got left with a huge mass of stuff after making the stock so I made it into furikake, and now I have over 2kg of it for the week, not to mention the stock and the marinading chicken. Good times. It's salty and savory.
Edit: Ramen came out delicious

Made some cream of tomato soup last night. Nothing special, just opened up a can of Campbell's Tomato Soup and mixed it with milk vice water. Three minutes in the microwave, and it's ready.

Second attempt at making croissants from scratch. The house still smells like a wonderful Parisian boulangerie, minus the smelly Parisians. They turned out well, but I will definitely try to find European style butter for the next attempt!

Pumpkin risotto and chocolate chip cookies. Can be done at the same time.

I've been doing a lot of holiday cooking. I made a chocolate cream pie and pumpkin cheesecake for Thanksgiving. Last night I made a huge batch of caramel chex mix with red and green M&M's to share.

Used the George Foreman Fusion grill I dug out of my brother's garage to make bulgogi beef (Mongolian Barbeque.) It grilled up nicely and didn't emit that much smoke (although I had it under the vent hood anyways.) Nice to be able to grill indoors during the winter. I also finally managed to make long grain rice without a rice cooker and ate everything with chopsticks.

I'm looking forward to indoor grilling some brats next time I get ahold of some.

Braised pork belly in a steamed bao, with a bit of hoisin sauce and green onion.

It’s super awesome for cold winter months, and it always reminds me of my grandma because we used to make this together:feels:
