Halal's are home-grown lolcows. If a user has been a kiwi farms member for a reasonable amount of time, and they do something to get themselves outed as a lolcow, those are halal cows. Lolcow threads about fellow kiwis are typically not allowed, which is why they have to be approved by a moderator. If the content found is found to be sufficiently worthy of a thread, a moderator will approve it with a Halal certification.

In order for such a thread to be approved, the content must reasonably outweigh the goodwill they have as a community member (if any). My favorite one is LagoonaBlue, you can read her thread here.

Halal cows are in my opinion the funniest and it's always a treat to watch it happen in real-time.
It's when the roving Pakistani rape gangs accidentally kill an English teenage girl and dispose of her body by using it to make halal doner kebab and selling it in their Kebab shop. The sacred process of turning a haram whore into delicious halal meat is known on the streets of Blackpool as getting 'Halal'd', 'Haram away' or 'Halaification'. Inshallah.

“Halal” is a term in Arabic meaning “permissible”, usually in the context of religious rituals (goat meat is “Halal” in Islam while dog meat is not). In a Kiwi context this term is used as there is a rule against making a thread on another forum user unless permitted by a moderator, so technically speaking “Halaling” someone means making a proper lolcow thread on them, but it is also applied to simply making a spectacle of their humiliation.

As for why we use an Arabic Muslim term idk, probably has something to do with Deagle Nation.

it's a term that comes from an old user Halal. he started and won so mamy arguments that his account had to be deleted.

I'm not even clear on the exact criteria it takes to be a lawlcow.
There is no 'exact' criteria, however, based on the threads I've read, the general requirement is that they be at least funny or somewhat interesting. This can include things like:

- Criminal history
- Online drama they're involved in
- Embarrassing content they've made or attempted to remove
- General erratic behavior
- Dox (good to have, but not necessarily required. But it is highly encouraged that a serious effort is made to uncover their real identity)

And you must show examples of this by posting relevant content. Youtube videos, Tweets, Selfies, witness testimony, court documents, anything that shows they are interesting or funny. Most importantly, every relevant piece of content must be archived by either uploading the content directly to the farms, or using archive.md.

It is also essential that your thread title be formatted correctly and subtitle adds additional relevant information. A good opening thread typically starts off with a picture of the subject, followed by a brief introduction, and well-organized content to back it up.
