Paging professional sandwich lover and known homosexual Dr. @SandyCat for his input…

Here’s my mister meaner sub:

- Large footlong white bread or large wrap
- classic chicken or chicken teriyaki (that spicy Korean chicken was the shit, so mad they took it away from us)
- toasted or fresh depending on my mood (toasted whitebread makes so many fucking crumbs)
- old english
- lettuce, spinach, tomato, cucumber, pickles, onion, capsicum
-smoky bbq sauce
-salt and pepper

- sometimes if I’m feeling adventurous I add jalapeños, but I’m really white so no matter how little they put on it’s always too much

People who love sandwiches don't eat at subway.

If I'm 100 miles from anywhere, in the middle of a shitty desert, fine. My order is cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes with oil, vinegar and salt.

Now stop eating at fucking subway. I know you're in a hurry, cousin. I know you're tired. Find your local sub shops, or better yet a good deli, and have them make your sandwich. The goddamn bread at subway is made of sugar and air. Stop tolerating swill, you're better than that.

Actually never been to one, don't plan to change that any time soon, or ever. However a kind of sandwich I do like alot is a "new states" style Jägerschnitzel with pickles and lecsó between toasted bread.

Do americans really?
EVERYTHING here is stuffed with high fructose corn syrup and refined white sugar. It's dirt cheap and addictive. Everything is sweet, even things that have no business being sweet, like sandwich bread.

Couple of weeks ago i sent my boys up for a loaf from the mini mart as the bakery was closed? They bring a loaf of the 'Wonderbread', which none of us had had in ages. It made our grilled cheese inedibly sweet. Cloying, dreadful. You really have to make a concerted effort to escape the HFCS and refined sugars here, it creeps into the most unexpected places.

...still better than Britbong cuisine, obviously.

The deli counter at the fancy grocery store has a printed checksheet that you fill out while you're in line and hand to the sandwich person.

It's everything that you'd tell the Subway person, except it's straightforward and efficient and you don't have to keep answering questions. I like to think that the sandwich maker appreciates it too.

I'm not touching the ingredients issue, but it seems like this would be a process improvement.

Sometimes I order a meatball sub with mozzarella cheese, as well as provolone. I used to order their miniature pizzas at college quite a bit, though I stopped when I tried to eat a slightly healthier diet.

I get really self-conscious when they act like I'm an asshole for not knowing their fucking sandwich procedures like I'm supposed to have this shit memorised that's only printed on tiny fucking stickers on the glass above the counter that you can only read when you're already standing right in front of it with some tween soup nazi child staring at you all judgementally from their filthy throne of power in an empty strip mall but I like the oregano bread
Just use the app homie lmao

Then all you would need to do is make your sandwich via the app, get curbside delivery, wait in your car outside for the employee, and then say your name to get your order.

One I go to stopped with the swiss and honey wheat so I substituted with pepper jack and the tomato basil wrap but they stopped that too, now I don't bother.

italian herb or white
turkey ham
tomato
corn
jalapenos
lettuce
honey mustard

bit of an orthodox one but I came up with it like in 2016 and never switched it since, haven't had one since 2020 though. (expensive as hell now :()
