Anybody with a PS4 still has a few days to grab Apotheon for free. It's pretty fun so don't miss out.

Nothing beats stabbing Greek gods directly in the top of their skull with a pitchfork.

I went old school and bought Breath of Fire on the virtual console. I'm level 21 right now and I feel like I'm 16 again.
About 3 years ago, I was using my PSP a lot, and I just couldn't find BOF3. This is weird, since BOF4 and such were available. Some research eventually led me to learn that there was a PSP release of Breath of Fire 3 in Europe, entirely in english. Worth importing since it's probably the best game in the series quality-wise. Not counting shipping, it was 10 bucks or so.

Speaking of BOF, my favorite one in the series, even if it isn't coded very well, is BOF2. It's badly translated, but I'm pretty sure this is intentional - if you ever play the retranslated version, it quickly becomes apparent that there is no way in hell this game's actual translation could have made it past Nintendo of America's "Nanny" policy in the 90s. The translated version is an impressive, enjoyable game, one I've kept coming back to because of its surprising depth of story and interesting ideas.

The guy who made BOF II was actually someone who really hated how Christianity took over Japan. The game is a supposed to be about that. Makes sense, with all the church imagery. BOFIII is still my favorite. The dragon gene system was really neat. I still have my ps one copy.

I decided to make a custom skater based on Connor in THPS3 and rig the physics to the semi-realistic sim mode, he sucks less than Connor would mainly because the game universe forces him to skate on even if he fails fuckying hard. Real Connor would give up the moment he's hospitalized and tell some pro skater who wants to help to fuck off when he's told to lose weight and learn to balance/land tricks on the board. Also I couldn't put his fat fucking face on my skater but JESUS FUCK Connor you have enough chins to fill my house.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=Av8zAfOBZZ0I would have posted this in the Connor thread but I didn't want to derail the discussion at hand.
Holy shit Connor sucks at that game.

Over 80 hours into Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. This game has consumed me.

Pokemon ORAS. I was too young to play the originals when they were out so this is definitely a trip

Played a bit of Wizardry 8. At first, I remade an all Rawulf party until I found out Steam had my old saves. With that in mind, I decided to replay the one I made before on my old laptop. Only played for five minutes just to see how it was doing.

Finished Dying Light a few days ago. I'm glad I took the chance and decided to pick it up. Now I'm back to grinding raid gear for my second guardian on Destiny (I know, I know) and trying to get into Dragon Age: Inquisition. I don't know what it is about that game, but it's not pulling me in like I expected it to. I loved Origins and managed to enjoy DAII even though it had a lot of flaws.

On a side note, I was thinking about buying Resident Evil Revelations 2 on PS4. Would it be a bad idea to get it without having played the first one?

Played a bit of the Gekokujo mod for Mount & Blade: Warband. Just going on as a sword for hire with a clan near a temple I conquered.

I've scored $4,355,235 at Dopewars. My goal for that run was a million, still new to this but if I can improve my strategy for dealing with the random price spikes then I should net some more.

I've saved up 82, 970, 000 bells in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. My first goal is 100 mil to get the ABM from the Post Office and my second goal is 1 bil for the gold saver badge.

I recently downloaded Earthbound and Super Metroid. Both games are lovely, even though the former can be a pain when it comes to difficulty.

I decided to start learning how to play Dota2 to see what the hype was about. My friend tried to warn me against it because the community was supposedly terrible but I still enjoy the game because RTSes where you get to control a player avatar are my favorite kind of RTS games; also Zeus zaps to the EXTREEEEMMEEE!!

Been playing MH4U every chance I get. 105 hours in so far. For the last 10 hours, I've been farming ancient shards for a worn greatsword. So far no luck. I swear the 3DS front camera is linked to capcom hq, and they're laughing at my agonized face.

Dead or Alive 5: Final Round. A bit disappointed so far. This was billed as having everything but actually getting everything is going to cost $90+ in DLC. No thanks.

Thanks for the reminder on how disgusting Namco is with their DLC. :heart-empty:

I think I'm a few days away from finally beating Dragon Age: Inquisition. Even with my goal of focusing less on sidequests in order to actually get through it, it still feels like I spend hours of this game just sidequesting with very few tangible benefits. Like, I can clear out old forts or roads for the inquisition itself but it never actually seems to impact my game outside of giving me more XP. The war room missions are about the same way but worse because they force you to waste time (or just not play the game) while they are being completed. Also, requiring me to do a fetch quest to unlock new class abilities is complete bullshit. While I'm enjoying the game, it would be a lot better if they got rid of at least half the sidequest filler shit and took their time with the remaining ones to make them more relevant to the main storyline.

Well now I am driving myself nuts playing the harder characters on Crypt of the Necrodancer. It's such a fun game but I can only handle it in small doses lest I get frustrated by screwing up so much.

Wizardry 8. Playing it without the Christian Coder Mod does show me how different it is. Also feel I should be more conscious with the Rawulf party I'm using if I keep going further. Need to get my bishop and alchemist some good AOE spells.

Kingdom Hearts, all of the FNaF games

So close to the end of KH. I think. I'm cruising through the story bosses and I cruised through the first 3 cups, but I'm concerned about the optional bosses ahead, especially in the Hades Cup. I want to grind but apparently I can't do it effectively until I finish Hollow Bastion. So I guess I'll go start Hollow Bastion.
